FOXBORO — Rob Gronkowski was back on the practice field for the first time all summer on Sunday afternoon as the Patriots practiced in full pads on the grass fields outside Gillette Stadium. Prior to Sunday, Gronkowski had been limited to only agility drills in sweats and shorts and had not been spotted in full uniform.

I hope they are no rushing this cause Ballard did not not pan out. I have a feeling had Ballard been healthy, this would not have happened.

I sure hope that bis the case. No way is he in shape. He needs to gain muscle and get his legs and wind back This feels like a pointless rush job. It's better to have him at the end of the season. It's shown up twice to haunt us the last two years; SB & AFCCG

I certainly am excited to see Gronk and Sudfeld on the field together. We have huge red zone targets in them and Dobson.

Lets not get carried away here, to my knowledge the Pats still haven't' made the decision to put him on the 53 man roster (aka taken off the PUP list). Although all signs point to him being put on the 53 man roster before time expires.

I think he has been activated. He was just in pads, but no contact.
