Orlando Pace didn't start until Sept 28th his rookie year; was he a bust? Yep, in Canton.

No need to panic yet.

Well you can't hit on every pick can you? There are 3 on that list that i feel they reached on. Quick, Robinson, and Pead. Everyone else the jury is still out on. I think we've actually had pretty good drafts. But what do i know?
Robinson wasn't a reach. He was pretty much the consensus top nonpassrusher. I think some people had Watkins higher but not everyone.

The Brian Quick pick was a big, fat reach and botched the rest of the 2nd round. Or maybe it wasnt a reach and the Rams cant develop offensive skill players.

'02 bucs had John lynch and ronde barber in the secondary. Derrick brooks, Sapp. Who am I leaving out? That D is probably top 5 all time.

Sure, but he wasn't being asked to change positions for the time being either. I think the fact that the Rams aren't throwing him to the fire just yet means they are a little more confident in their depth than recent seasons, which is a good thing in a bad situation.

Are we really panicking about a draft pick before his rookie season even starts? Let's all calm down.

I'm sure you guys don't remember this but 2 years into Lawrence Timmons career Steelers message boards were calling him a bust and LaMarr Woodley the pick of the century. Now Woodley has played himself out of Pittsburgh and Timmons is the best player on their defense. Patience is key.

The best team in the league for developing players is the steelers.

Look if the guy doesn't start week 1 and he's a top 3 pick, we's got problems. If he does stArt, let's see what he's got.

But let's be honest... After 10 years of BS, many of us are nervous about high draft picks. Just go look at who we picked in the top 10 and see who's become a great player.

1?

Yep SJ76. That top ten nervousness is inherent in every Rams fan I know of over the years. We have screwed-the-pooch so many times and the players we whiffed on is the thought of what we could have is downright depressing. I suspect that since they sign Davin Joseph and he is still pretty good, they figure they can develop Robinson more slowly and not "Bulgerize" him into oblivion by starting him too soon.
