Seattle has money cause they haven't really gone crazy in FA recently, thats how you get over budget. They draft extremely well, they pay their own, and well, JS is magic....

dont hate the 4th for 1st pick swap either. JS is nails in the 4th round, his first rounders have been shaky at best historically.
I hate it when people justify a pick swap by saying their GM stinks in the first round. The first round pick is still a lot more valuable!

Either way, it's a great move for Seattle. I feel bad for Graham though. I remember that play where he ran backwards into a corner just to avoid Kam. Now he'll be getting hit by Kam every day in practice!

Not that bad. Graham + 4th for Unger + 1st.

Unger was an all pro center 2 years ago but he's been injured off and on and JeanPierre stepped in pretty well for Unger last year. Seattle may know something about his injuries. Unger is -4.5M to Graham's +8M but you lose the 1st so that saves 1.5-2. So end of day Seattle is paying about another 1.5-2M for Graham.

Graham IMO comes off a bit soft at times, but he's still a top 2 TE in the league and a matchup nightmare for a lot of teams that aren't equipped like Seattle's D to handle him.

This is a FAR superior trade to the Harvin trade 2 years back.

Yeah, I had my doubts about Harvin working out in Seattle long-term when they made that trade and felt they gave up too much. But this trade is definitely worth it. Not too many TE's in this league as talented as Graham.

Foles on the Rams is also scary. Huge upgrade over what they had last year at QB and they're getting healthy along with us (AZ, SEA). This division is going to be nuts next year.

I'm guessing Seattle fans no longer consider Jimmy "soft"

I just said to a coworker, I always thought graham was soft..... But to be fair, Kam Chancellor does that to alot of people. Graham can thank the new CBA, teams hardly hit in practice any longer.

Funny how quickly things change. lol

I remember when the Suns signed Nash in 04' I hated him in Dallas and always talked about how terrible he was defensively and how he would never be elite…. as soon as we signed him he was a top 5 PG in my eyes all of the sudden. Not sure what changed my mind :dhd:

Wow...for a 31st pick and pretty good player? If SEA gets one of their young WRs to step up and that OFC could be markedly better this year...they're not settling.

I believe it is Patrick Lewis who took the job away from LJP.

Wow. I did not see this coming.
Go Seahawks.
I'm pretty sure the Saints cap situation forced this trade.

It's not a bad return at all. Save a little money, get an elite center and add a 1st rounder (though it is 31st overall) they did OK.

Think Brees is on the block now?

Graham's numbers gonna drop significantly.
Yea but Wilson, Lynch, and Graham is an extremely dangerous trio in the red zone. Graham probably won't be a 1,000 yard TE probably but he'll see plenty of targets in enemy territory.

Max has been injured a bit too much lately. He is a good C, but I am not so sure he remains one of the best in the league.
Our best blocking TE was Zack Miller who did not protect RW at all last year due to injury.

Seattle's not about numbers, they're about wins

I hate it when people take one piece of a comment and ignore the overall message.

Im not justifying anything... Seattle needed to use the 1 to GET graham, Gotta give to get , this aint madden football where you can trade override..... I just pointed out, its essentially a swap of 1st for 4th, and I m happy were getting the 4th in the deal cause JS has hit grand slams in the 4th before.

Unger is very good. I hope he stays healthy for you though.

Ftr Jimmy is a pretty shitty blocking TE
