Now, if you guys want to be serious...I have a little Anthony Swarzak story for you.

He broke in a few years ago and in one of his earliest starts, maybe even his 1st start, his Mom was in attendance, a good-lookin', energetic, blonde that the camera man kept showing as the game went on. Well, a week or so, later me and my beautiful bride, Lena, are in Miami on a business/boozin' trip and we see a waterfront bar on the canal system that feeds into Biscayne Bay. The joint's got a big Minnesota Twins banner on it. Of course, I gotta check this out, so in we go! Turns out Swarzak's Mom works there! She's very bubbly, as were my rum & cokes, and we talked quite a while. Haven't been back since, not even sure where it was exactly, but it was a good time!

FC isn't the only guy who's connected to greatness!

Misk, my forever buddy! I appreciate the Chinese "primer book". Whatever his name is, has a bunch of henchmen following him that can't, or won't speak English, when I try to engage them in meaningful conversation. Fact is...they're kind of "snooty", if you know what I mean!

Next time I get over there I'll try talking their lingo with 'em. That 'oughta loosen 'em up a bit.

I'm goin' "boots up" right now 'cause I'm up & outta here at 4:00 a.m. to go fishin'! It's been a couple months since I've been out, but now that Lena has stabilized a bit, I plan to get out a lot more!

Hey, how about that win tonite! Fox had it on down here because the Detroit game was rained out. Looked like a beautiful night up there too. Late May was the prettiest time of the year for me when I lived up there. Lilacs blooming, high 70's...yeah, it was nice!

My weekend had an interesting ending. Got hit by a crazy storm Monday night and power was out at our house for 21 hours from about 9pm Monday night until around 6pm Tuesday night. Spent all Monday night/Tuesday morning bailing water out of the sump hole in the basement. Finally had to buy a generator so we could run the sump pump (so we didn't have to carry buckets of water up the stairs anymore) and get the fridge running so food didn't go bad. Felt good to get some sleep last night and now to get back to work today.
