No just give 12-15 carries in the first half and then tell the team that the second half is like a new game and give him 12-15 carries in the second half he'll end up eith 150 yards on 30 carries, 5.00 YPC

one thing you have to also remember here - when your team is in position to hand the ball off 20x per game, odds are the game is out of hand, and the defense is playing the run. To still be close to 4 YPC in those games seems legit to me. I wonder how that similar analysis would look on other RBs.

I'd temper my expectations to something more along the lines of 22car, 85-100yds as the norm. For a 5th-6th rd RB in most leagues, that is a great draft pick.

Great point on the receptions Foot but what sucks is I doubt there will be a whole hell of a lot of GL work for him. Still, I see 8-12 points a week with the occasional TD and although I took him earlier than I wanted to in my money league, I'll take that production from my RB3

Don't forget he was running behind one of the best run blocking teams in the league, the Vikings, during those stats. Also keep in mind that when Toby was in the game, that meant the Vikings were more likely to pass, so when they did run the ball with Toby, it caught the opposing defenses off guard.

He's worth a gamble as a low end RB2 or a RB3 due to the fact that he is a starting RB. I wouldn't be surprised if he crashes and burns though.

I think he'll be a good flex play at worst, with high end rb2 value at best. I drafted him as a flex in a few leagues.

Anyone relying on Toby to be a decent producing #2 is going to be sorely disappointed IMO.

I cant figure out what is going to be more detrimental to his fantasy season:
- The fact that he doesn't have enough wiggle or speed to be a #1 RB.
- Jacksonville having a completely subpar cast around him (especially at the OL position) and likely playing from behind quite a bit.

IMO there is a much better chance that Jacksonville goes full committee with Toddman and maybe Storm then there is of Toby being a legit fantasy week in and week out starter.

Toby was the most sought after free agent back this off season and for good reason. He has a lot to prove, a chip on his shoulder so to speak. My only concern if any is that Hammy, but I think he will prep and stretch and make 100 percent sure he is ready to go for fear of losing a starting gig. We'll see the weekend can't get here soon enough!

I think you put way too much stock into off the field stuff and not nearly as much into what you see on the field. The chip on the shoulder, media pressure, no media pressure. .. fine to use something like that in a borderline call between two guys who are otherwise a "tie", but to think he's going to be exponentially better than he's ever proven he could be before is just kinda weird.

Prepare to be disappointed.

#1 ranked RB by Foot? Make it stop.

You're being way too kind in your 'subpar' assessment. The fact of the matter is that he is going from RB2 to RB1 and downgrading olines on the way. I've seen enough Steven Jackson Rams teams to know that he'll struggle and Toby is no Steven Jackson.

I'm just saying I, as in me, like him to be the best, just stating an opinion. Could I be wrong? Sure I am wrong a lot of the time but I am right every once in a while too. None the less I'm still happy to put myself out there and debate it with whomever even if my reasons are being called weird or Im being called it, lol.

It's so absurd, though. God love ya, but c'mon. Say Giovanni Bernard. Say Eddie Lacy. Toby Gerhardt? Of the Jaguars? The JAGUARS?! Stop. Just stop it. Absurd. Complete and utter nonsense.
