Marvin's daughter was a student there, actually. Called her father. Clued him in.

Not even sure why I'm responding to this, but he was a projected FIRST ROUND PICK.
Nobody's daughter clued them into anything. It's not like he just fell off the radar.
Off field issues + poor on field performance + positive test for weed + bad interviews + bad combine = draft stock blowing up.

He didn't just come out of nowhere and play football for 1 season then go to the NFL. He was on everyone's radar, and then screwed himself over by making bad decisions.
All he had to do was stay in shape and not throw the Arizona State coaching staff under the bus during combine interviews and some one would have drafted him. Regardless if Lewis' daughter knew the kid or not, he was going to get a chance to make an NFL team somewhere as a training camp invite, UDFA.
