I'm sure he wanted to get the puck up but that's one of those "easier said than done" things in the heat of the moment. It's not like that wrap around Selanne missed back in the day.
Meh, I'm disappointed they didn't win but not disappointed with their effort this series. They played even or were the better team in 6 of the 7 games. Hats off to the Kings for getting it done.
The Sharks clearly took steps in the right direction as far as playing style which is huge. A couple offseason tweaks and hopefully they can pick up next year where they left off.
Getting bounced by the defending champs in a one goal game 7 is hardly a let down. Nemi's weak 1st goal and Pavs missed opportunity painfully stand out. But in the end the Sharks played a damn good series. Quick is one helluva goalie, that is for sure.
10 different teams in 10 years have knocked the Sharks out. Might as well spread the enjoyment around to a new city every year. Sharks 10 year Playoff Bust World Tour continues into infinity. I am 51, and I have seen 21 years plus of this plus 8 or 9 more back with the debacle called the California Golden Seals. I don't think I am ever going to see a Cup in my lifetime.
