all three other lines are fine. wellwood and eager have been outstanding since their arrivals.
its truly amazing that the sharks are getting so many points without much from their main guys. Even patty has just 8 pts in the last 13 games (respectable, but hardly dominant).
eventually, the law of averages has to kick in and the two big guys will step it up...

Well, deserved result after the Sharks sat on the lead. Prevent defense loses again. It only gets harder from here on out. I think we're seeing why the Sharks won so many games the past 11 games.....right now they are living and dying with Niemi. If Niemi is perfect or close to it, they win.....when he's not, they lose.

You nailed it, couldn't of said it any better. This team doesn't care as much as it should. This team was content with winning 9 of 10 coming into the NJ game, and now has lost two games to much more inferior opponents. That's why these losers will never take their play to a Stanley Cup level.
its coaching all the way... Clearly jumbo is not effective as captain or at all. Why is he still playing 20 mins a game? Wellwood (15 mins) has been much better.
Why the fuck does eager play only 6 mins when he has been excellent?
Todd is failing so miserably right now its unreal. He continues to give jumbo all the top PP time, he puts him out there time and again after terrible game after terrible game. it's too late to give away 4 points like this and you gotta play the guys who are playing well not the losers who arent.

Well i didn't see the game, but it doesn't sound good if the sharks blow two 3rd period leads. Ohwell I'm sure Doug will do something to help this team. "LoL" yeah right!!!!!!
it's not doug's fault. The players out there are good enough to win. Todd has simply created no chemistry. Todd needs to do the following:
1. strip the C and go with 3 A's: boyle, clowe, and pavelski.
2. Put heater and jumbo on the sam line and taper off their ice time depending on how they are playing each game. if they look good, play them 20+ mins, if not, limit it to 15 or 16.
3. Bench mitchell. Yes, he had 2 assists but neither was him really creating anything as much as simply accidentally getting assists on pavs' nice plays. And, he blew a ton tonight as well.
4. Consider putting couture on jumbo's line to teach the big guy how to play in all ends and move his feet. Maybe couture's energy and slickness can jumpstart that line.
5. GET MAD! he's such a cool cat, but maybe, just maybe, he needs to send a real message to his big money players. Niemi carried the team during the 9 game stretch, but now that he's showing his humanity, the glaring problems show up again...
Todd needs to earn his money. Looking at the rosters around the west, there is no reason for the sharks to be currently on the outside looking in (in terms of pts/game).
