Ben Eager is in. Boyle is questionable.
Nichol and Huskins are out.

No injuries for DET.

A win in regulation tonight would put the Sharks 3 points behind DET for the #2 seed in the West. The road team has won all three meetings this season. This is a game to get pumped up about!

Another big game, another huge test for the boys in teal. I am most definitely PUMPED for this one. Hopefully Boyler can come back for tonights game but on the other hand it's nice that, although he is injured, he is resting his legs and should be a little more fresh for the long playoff haul. Just have my fingers crossed that his "upper-body" doesn't linger.

Detroit on the second half of a back to back Sharks better take advantage of that. I know they can get lazy when there on an extended home stand.

EDIT: From DP Boyle is out and the Todd agrees with me.

Todd McLellan said he planned to use his team’s last two games against Detroit — both on the road — in preparing them for tonight’s contest.

“The first 10-12-14 minutes both nights we were spectators,” McLellan said. “We may as well have bought tickets andwatched the game because we were slow and certainly not in the right position, reacting rather than being pro-active and we have to be much better tonight.

Heatley scoring garbage goals. That's how it should be.

Not a Heatley fan at all, but he's had a heck of a period. Nice defensive clear and then battles Dats for the garbage goal.

Best first 5 minutes the sharks have had all year. I dont think Ive ever seen them take it to the Wings like that... Of course, they completely stopped working when the got the Pp and now they are shorthanded.

Big PK here...

Vlasic got all 114 lbs behind that battle in front with Holmstrom.

niemi looks damn sharp... whats new eh? Great rebound control thus far and nice defensive coverage.

Be nice to see the sharks start skating again and get working in the Offensive zone.

well, that figured... 2 failed clears and the sharks stopped playing after getting their own PP... Shame that tehy totally stopped trying. This sucks. team is still inconsistent... 2 PP goals on the same penalty.

Sharks need to pull theirs heads out of their asses.

should be an extra 2 to kronwall for the Holding stick... 2 for HS and 2 for slash vs. 2 for rough to joe... doubt they got it right.

Red Wings have gotten all the calls and non calls as far as penalty calls go (i.e. - Datsyuk's dive, the slash that broke Seto's stick and most likely the end of period skirmish). That said, they did get HOSED on the "no goal" call. That was a perfect screen by Franzenstein.

Best period I've seen Heatley play all year. Two great defensive plays, 1 zone clear and 1 backcheck (I know.....crazy right??? :D) when the Sharks were on the PP and then a nice garbage goal to get off of the shnide.
