Nice is that Engleberger?
The Panthers have been playing very well lately. With two weeks to rest as well as prepare and playing at home there is no excuse for the 49ers losing this game but the Panthers will give the 49ers all they can handle. Carolina's ability to shut down the run coupled with the 49ers inability to put pressure on the QB will result, I think, in an end of the game victory for Carolina. I'm calling it 23 - 20 Panthers in a hard fought game.
I'm guessing Aldon won't play? I think we can win easily if we capitalize on Newtons mistakes. Also i expect passing game to be better if Maningham plays not lights out or anything but better. Also please replace Williams at return man![]()

Nnamdi Asomugha - DB - Free Agent
49ers waived CB Nnamdi Asomugha.
They'll activate Eric Wright to replace Asomugha as cornerback depth. Appearing in just three games with San Francisco, 32-year-old Asomugha graded out negatively as both a pass and run defender in Pro Football Focus' ratings, before getting hurt and ultimately benched for Tramaine Brock. Brock has been outstanding at left corner in nickel packages. Asomugha will head to waivers, where he's unlikely to be claimed despite a manageable $1 million base salary.
