They did for sure. Haven't seen them dominate a team like that in a long time. Conference road win I'll take it even though I think Arizona is god awful
Any road win in the NFL is big

Yeah, lol, but man he's made some tight window throws. Good play calling never hurts

Linehan refused to talk to media after game. Not that he is required to but he declined comment. Hmmm

Jerry was pretty hot on the way out, I'd imagine JG and Linehan are gonna have a fun 24 hours

Of course, he is. The puppet and his sidekick have run out of excuses. Romo is not careful enough with the ball, we need o-line help, we just need a top runnng back, we need a better defense, we need continuity, we need a new receivers coach, don’t draft a stud WR get a middle linebacker who can’t get off blocks and we need to trade your favorite player because he is not Dak friendly. At some point, the excuses must run out. Dak has thrown for less than 200 yards in some ridiculous 7 out of last 9 games. This scheme is bad and not adjusting. Garret still thinks he can live in an era where he Cowboys had Aikman, Irvin and Smith. This team needs their coach to win and he is average Joe. Mr 500.

It was maddening. We were led to believe all offseason we were going to stretch the field. WTF were those 3rd and 11 screens over and over. Give your team a chance to move the ball. The play calling was just scared and showed the coaches are just big pussies. Give the team a chance to mess up. Show them you have some confidence and maybe they'll come through for you. We treated 3rd downs like the only goal was to not turn it over and to gain field position for most of the game. Not acceptable when you get paid millions to play the game. When you call plays like we did it just bunches up more and more and more. Stretch The Field!!!
I will tell you what worries me....it looks like Dak won't let the ball go unless he has a really clear window, whether it's because of arm strength, accuracy, or just fear of the turnover. Big problem is, these receivers don't look capable of creating that type of separation

Are the panthers really a good Offense? Their WRs are worse than ours. Their OL was more banged up than ours. Other than running the ball Cam did nothing to get the lead in the first half. They basically just used McCaffrey in space against our LBs and safeties and ran Cam. That shouldn't beat a good NFL defense.
What makes their offense decent is Cam. The Cowboys had stuffed all their conventional offense, and then Cam just started making plays with his legs, which is tough because he is so big and runs like a RB. Problem for the Panthers is if he runs like that each week, he's gonna get hurt

Holding them to 16 with our putrid offense was a pretty good task to accomplish. Cam is a hard thing to handle.

I caught the stat late but didn’t they say Cam was the lowest rated Qb over the past two yrs. Only Osweiler and another were lower. I may have misunderstood.

I thought we would definitely have more success throwing yesterday. The Panthers secondary is ranked pretty low. Of course their pass rush helps out a ton. I think we improve quite a bit this week.

We better improve. It's very difficult to pass with no funning game.

I actually liked some of the screens. I thought Austin was close to popping his. Zeke was barely tripped up on another flat pass. I know Dak missed some throws but one big one we actually got a defensive penalty on it. Gallauo was running wide open. If he catches that he had all kinds of room. It wasn’t a terrible pass but it could have been better. I just think we clean it up some.

I'm not sure that not throwing the ball in those situations is a bad thing. My theory is always live to see another down. Where it seems we are lacking is the "throw the ball before the guy makes his break" type of play. Seldom do we see the Aikman to Novacek type pass where the QB and WR seem to be on the same page and the ball is thrown before the break.

Positive is the D looked really solid. The line was consistently getting pressure, thought our corners did a great job keeping guys from breaking out. The linebackers were probably the weakest point but didn't look terrible.

Tough to say exactly what went wrong offensively. As usual I thought the play calling was awful, unimaginative, predictable, Dak never looked like he was in rhythm, Zeke whiffed on some blocking assignments and we couldn't convert anything on third downs. It really was a collectively bad effort.
