Honestly, I think it was unfortunate that the two on none featured two of our forwards that probably never play together. Simmonds didn't hold onto the puck long enough for the goalie to honor his shot, then his pass across (to Bellemare I believe) was too slow. Vasilevskiy was able to cheat and stopped it. Tyler Johnson stopped one with his skate too that should've been an easy goal.

The shots were 21-5 (they just said 23 shots here at intermission) in that second period. It honestly looked like we had an extra skater for about 15 of the 20 minutes. And yet the game is only tied 1-1. Absolutely unreal.

Shots on goal are 31-8 through just two periods and the scoring chances have to be equally lopsided.

It should be 5-1 Flyers.

We need to kill the rest of the power play to start the third and go out and win this in regulation!!

Wow. Tampa finally showed up early in the third period, but they remain in a world of hurt. Just cleared the puck over the glass from their defensive zone after a horrible turnover that led to our top line having a long shift in their end.

Power play!! Let's win this fucking thing!!

Watch this moving forward guys. On that last power play in which Ghost gave us the lead, he was playing where Voracek would normally be and that spreads the defense out more, which allowed him to be wide open with the one-timer. No more cheating to where G and Ghost are both at.

Finally a lucky bounce on the shot by Giroux and deflection by Schenn, then off of the skate of Stamkos and into the back of the net. Lightning come right back and make it 3-2.

Time to lock it down, boys!! This is probably the most important few minutes of the season to date.

Seriously. Nobody who watched this game (live or on tv) can honestly tell me that we're an average team or have very little chance at the playoffs. Tampa came into this one having won 9 straight (6 straight on the road) and leading the Atlantic division.

They are the reigning, defending eastern conference champs (who have also had our number over the years) and we just completely annihilated them.

It's almost as if their entire roster of players took 20 mg of melatonin before the game, because we absolutely handled them all over the ice.

Massive team effort here. Mainly by the forwards supporting the defense, but also vice versa.

Despite the score, I'd say it was the best game we've played all season long and I've been saying that often lately.

Jon Cooper may or may not be hanging himself in the locker room as we speak. This was truly unreal.

Well, we're 6-4-1 in our last 11 on the road, including wins over Nashville, Washington and Detroit. So, it's getting better in my opinion. We got completely robbed in Carolina too, which just happens sometimes.

To me, when we get Voracek back, we could be a serious contender here. The top line is rolling. Put Voracek on the second line and they will get going again too. The third line looks really nice with Cousins and Laughton also and the same can be said of the fourth with Bellemare/VandeVelde.
