I am still in complete and utter disbelief that this even happened. This game was as over as games get. We're on the power play still with just over one minute remaining in the game and a 2-0 lead. We give up a goal while 5 on 5 with their goalie pulled and then another 56 seconds later, only 8 seconds before the end of the game. Not to mention Mase was in the zone all game long and not giving them anything. Then we fail to score on a 1:14 long power play in OT.

If we were to somehow miss the playoffs or miss a top three seed in our division by a lone point, this game would haunt us for a long time.
This game was reminiscent of the late goal to tie and loss in shootout to the Rags another point wasted.

We seem to be out of sync when things count with a number of factors in play in several games this year. The we are left with a host of What ifs. Frustrating indeed!

Very surprised about the collapse and very upset with Simmer trying for the empty net. If he kills time it's game over...fuck.

I hate to do it, but I am going to have to watch the replay. This was a total clusterfuck. I remember Simmer hammering the puck down the entire length of the ice, but how much time was left? Regardless, it was a foolish play. That shot was too high and hard to go in the net from that far away. It had zero chance.

True. Ryan White had what appeared to be the game-clinching goal in that one too and then we let them tie it with 13 seconds left. We easily lost in the shootout that time however.

This is the kind of game that leaves holes in your brain for a few days. Better make it up Thursday

After a day at work that made this game seem pleasant and relaxing....
.... the good thing is that at least a few of the issues that lead to this game getting away from the Flyers relate to the current roster and relative depth issues. Yes, we love our Flyers, but they are not the most talented, biggest, fastest, complete team. With another offseason to shore up the roster games like this should hopefully not be as infuriating. (opening bottle of wine and listening to Ian Hunter)

There was still time but he would have killed another 20-30 seconds by not icing it. Probably enough for the win no different than running the ball at the end of a football game.

Giroux had an opportunity to put it away as well and failed. Seems like there were a lot of missed opportunities by quite a few to put this one away when we were up 2-0.
