What did you think of the blind side block called on Mason? To me it seemed completely incidental and initiated by the defender crossing into Mason's path?

It became a non-issue when they picked up the first
I would have to view it again.

Yeah the play by play guys were killing the Patriots OL stating he would get killed. I know it was the first game but the OL was not sharp at all. Still wish they came away with the "W" but I was impressed by Mac at least
Both sides had turnovers but the fumble at the end killed that win. Too bad because it would have been a great game winning drive.

LMFAO

Though that one would be a billion times worse
Actually, you don't have to picture it. Go to YouTube and search Seattle fan reactions and you'll get a bunch of videos where the fans are partying their win, then absolutely dead panned. Some are shocked and can't say a word while others keep repeating "why would you pass the ball?".

I'll say this much this loss really does suck because now week 2 versus the Jets is a MUST WIN

It already was. If they are losing to the Jets they aren't winning many games.

True but still going into this game they had better be more prepared then they were yesterday

The game was totally decided by mistakes.
Lots of untimely penalties, turnovers and bad calls by refs.
Also, the 2 Miami TDs in opening drives in both halves made it look too easy. D played well overall but why did they fall asleep on those drives? Apart from that, Miami did not move the ball much.

I refer to that as the Matty P effect.

Great point!!!!

Opening drive score and I even said that the D looked like bar room doors.

Oddly enough, exactly the same on the opening drive of the second half.

It's as if they're just not ready to play football.

If it makes you feel better, then blame Matty P. I blame Mayo and S. Belichick for not sitting a couple of guys and putting a bench or rookie in to play. Bill doesn't have any issues with punishing players.

Not to be interpreted as defending Matty P, but are we sure he has direct input/impact on the game day D?

I have no idea. I'm being a smartass. That said, they did have that bend/bend/bend/bend/break look yesterday that he is famous for.
