Now hold on a minute. You're crossing the line by bringing up Jimmy Jam's name in this thread. Although since you mentioned that asshole in ann arbor's name did you know he's a much better CFB coach than Osborne was because Mr. Harbaugh played in the NFL & Osborne didn't. all hail you know who.

Osborne actually played reciever for the Redskins a bit.

In three years at Wisconsin, Aranda's defense pitched five shutouts (2 in 2013 and 2015, 1 in 2014) and didn't allow opponents to score more than a single touchdown in 18 games over that stretch.

That's very good, considering Wisconsin isn't in or near a recruiting mecca. But you forgot to mention there were also 10 games in which his defense gave up 28 or more points, and one in which they gave up 59. But all but one of those games were in his first two seasons. It only happened once in his final season at UW, and that was against Alabama in the 2015 season opener.

Rumors are he didn't take that much money, either.

He'll have all the ingredients he had at Oregon and more.
The dude can seriously put the X' s and O's together. Home run if it's Chip IMO.

You just said Turner fing Gill was the obvious choice for the Nebraska head coaching position and then have the balls to call my comment stupid?

That you fucking believed it is the problem here.

I have zero doubt if I were to throw a ball into traffic, you'd chase it.

I'm sure many of you SECers look at this page already. As always, the reactions to the posts are better than the posts.

I would personally love that because it would make OregonDucks so pissed off

So what you're saying is only Ohio State fans & nobody else ever in that ALc thread has given doug/iffy shit? Interesting.

I'd think having lived in Nebraska would be the primary reason somebody would NOT want to go back. Frost knows better and will just stay put.

If that were the case, he'd have taken the gator job.

UCF >>> UF ?

The problems with hiring Chip Kelly:

1. He's been away from the college game for 5 years & it may take him a season or two to get re-integrated into the college game.

2. He still has a show-cause hanging over his head from past dubious dealings.

3. The innovative offenses he utilized at Oregon are no longer the big challenge for opposing teams that they once were.

4. He has an abrasive personality that may not be tolerated by the fans & alumni if he doesn't win big right out of the starting gate.

5. He doesn't seem to appreciate the need for good defense.

On the plus side (sort of):

1. He will be in a state that has a huge amount of great high school athletes and very near four other states (Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana) with a good amount of outstanding high school athletes. [That didn't seem to help the previous 3 UF head coaches win the recruiting battles against their rivals].

2. He seems to be able to coach up good offensive players, once he has them on-hand. But he will have to hire good recruiters to get those players in the first place, and I'm not sure how much Florida is willing to pony up to get top-notch assistants in place.
