Airplane is pure genius... Not sure anything can top that. But Naked Gun is awesome as well... I've always been a huge fan of Jim Carrey movies. How come nobody has mentioned Me, Myself & Irene? That shit had me bursting out laughing every 10 seconds!!!

I actually had that in my top 5 in another thread...........thats just it though...........top 5 is really tough let alone number 1..............

I didn't see Porky's from anyone and that was right up there for me. On the list, for sure Monty Python. I follow it up with Animal House then Blazing Saddles.

Gotta throw Dogma out there too...........saw it in SLC. Started with a full house and by the time it was over there was like 4 of us left. When they rolled out Buddy Jesus more than half the crowd left.

VERY under-rated flick. I actually thought Carey's acting in that movie was brilliant.

Also, this was the movie that put Anthony Anderson on the map. He was hillarious.

And I too enjoyed A Knight's Tale. Funniest ever? Probably not. Definitely an honorable mention, though.

Val had great comedic timing when he was young.

Then he got a stick up his ass and wanted to become a serious actor.

While he was good in Top Gun, his best two roles were Top Secret and Real Genius.

Fair enough, on both accounts. But I would have rather seen him expand on his dry humor than do a career's worth of garbage just to get those two gems.

He basically just started taking himself WAY too seriously WAY too early.
