• Animal House

2) What I call 'Stupid Movies'

• Step Brothers
• Tommy Boy
• Walk Hard, the Dewey Cox Story
• Dumb and Dumber
• Zoolander

For me it is between Dumb and Dumber and Blazing Saddles. Another I would add to the list is Slapshot but maybe that's just me?

I was actually in slapshot.
Was a kid when they filmed it, and was in an audiece shot.
That's an oldie for sure.

Comedies, especially, are VERY open to taste, so that is why I want going to call out any in my original post.

But IMHO...

Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura were pure crap.
Superbad and PT&A, while funny, don't belong in this discussion.

Seeing as D&D and AV have received votes, my opinion differs from others...

off the top of my head, the top 10 are (and I stress this is not a complete or accurate list..)

Holy Grail
Caddyshack
Stripes
Animal House
Austin Powers
Blazing Sadles
Spaceballs
Naked Gun
Airplane
Hangover (???)

If I want to stretch, I could go with Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World or some of WC Fields stuff. I am not familiar enough with fields to argue the point, though.

It's a good thing we are all able to share our opinions. Pure crap? I laughed out loud during both Dumb & Dumber and Ace Ventura II. Seems you just don't like Jim Carrey. Every one of the movies you listed aside from Hangover I liked, I didn't even let out a small chuckle during Hangover, one the most overrated comedies of all time IMO. I liked Austin Powers but it wasn't laugh out loud funny IMO. How does PT&A not belong? It was a great movie and it was funny.

I respect your opinions I just think they are "crap". Anyone who doesn't like Dumb & Dumber is Dumb or Dumber IMO. No offense intended.

Funny that may Dad was also in Slapshot at the end where they had the parade. They actually took footage from a Bicentennial parade in Johnstown that my Dad was in playing drums.
