well Smith got 71mg and KC got 96mg. Do I have this right?
How did he read that and get 96 million? Dumber than a box of rocks.

Smith got 71M guaranteed and Cousins will get 28Mx3yrs=84M.
I.e. Cousins' cap number is almost certainly 28M every year.
We're still waiting to see what Smith's contract details are.
so the Skins saved 17mg. Right?
84M-71M=13M saved.
He's not necessarily wrong. It depends on the POV.lol. my bad. ok. I guess Shark was wrong in saying that we would only save a "few" million by KC leaving. lol
84M-71M=13M saved. That is, 13M saved over 3 years. 4.3M per year saved.

The 13M saved is saved over 3 yeras. So that's about 4.3M per year saved in guaranteed money. However, until we know Smith's salary and bonus info, we won't know the actual difference in cap amount saved per year.

Now before any one screams that $13M is HUGE and makes it all worth it....
13/3= 4.3M per year less, for a QB that is four years older. Or basically we can afford another McBoy type player in each of the next three years.

more than a few million that you stated weeks ago.
What is the cap hit for smith dean ?
$4.3M per year is not this MASSIVE cap savings you were predicting. I said it would be 5 maybe 6M per year...
so Say it with me...
Shark was right...... AGAIN
I know... it hurts... you will get used to it though.![]()
you are not right again. KC didn't want to be there hence there was no way we could of signed him this offseason. The deal is actually 86Mg.

Whats more important Dean. Cap space or over all cost?? From year to year, $5M or less at the QB position is not a huge deal.
Four years older... just might be.
And i have already shown you that the only way Smith costs us alot less against the cap than the reported Cousins deal would have is if they backload the deal.
it is less. that is the whole point. We are just as good or even better at the QB position.
