Yes 3B/2B. I should have said that. I have no problem with him as a utility guy with that meaning our offense is loaded, but when has that happened with the M's? We can hope.

The 98-2000 offense was loaded with home run hitters and not so defensively oriented. But with how Jerry loves getting him utility players he needs to take high risk chances on starting position players, dudes who get hurt like Buxton or that one 3B I can’t remember his name. Collecting utility guys are a good thing, just as use them as utility players not full time starters. Whether true or not, I firmly believe it is better for a player mentally not having to run to the lineup card or have a pre game talk with the manager about if he is playing and where in the field and the order he is playing.

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Rangers are trading shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa to the Twins in exchange for catcher Mitch Garver.​

Here we go. The trades have begun, folks. Kiner-Falefa was slotted to open the 2022 season as the Rangers' everyday third baseman, but will instead likely serve as the Twins' starting shortstop after Andrelton Simmons departed for the Cubs in free agency. The 26-year-old infielder posted an underwhelming .271/.312/.357 triple-slash line with eight homers and a career-high 20 stolen bases across 677 plate appearances last year. He's a sneaky late-round steals source for fantasy managers in drafts this spring. Garver has struggled to stay healthy, but walloped 13 homers in just 68 games last year. It's a much tougher ballpark for the 31-year-old backstop, but he should have a clear path to everyday at-bats

Red Sox signed RHP Dan Altavilla to a two-year minor league contract.​

Altavilla underwent Tommy John surgery last summer and will probably be out through most of the 2022 regular season, so this deal is really more about 2023. The 29-year-old right-hander owns a career 4.03 ERA and 129/60 K/BB ratio in 116 major league innings.

Anyway MLB can just give the Dodgers the WS trophy now and let everyone else duke it out for a second trophy…I think we can officially say Murderer’s Row is no longer the best offense in baseball history.
