Those guys are considerable snake oil salesmen. Shero had Iggy convinced didn't he? Rangers sure made Nash believe.

The rest of the league can just enjoy it when the Rags, F'ers and Pens have to drop guys.

I know the Jackets have benefited pretty well from guys those teams have sent us.
Rags - Dubinski, Gaborik, Tyutin, Erixon and Anisimov.
Flyers - Carter (Flipped for Johnson), Umberger and Bob
Pens - Letestu,

Plus they get into situations where they actually take guys like Dorsett and Mason.


And I thank Vinny for setting the market for a consistent star forward at less than five mil.

Eh, we aren't, necessarily. To quote CBSsports, "unless they are paying Lecavalier to put on some goalie pads, that's still an issue to be attended to."

Does make me wonder who we are jettisoning after this season, though, because we can't afford all the raises people are going to be getting.

I wonder who would be a viable option for the Flyers in goal though....what if say Tim Thomas signed with Toronto, and they dealt Riemer to you. Would that be something you would accept as a fan?

A Toronto goalie? Probably not. The Leafs suffer from a lot of the same distractions as our goalies do; if they can't hack it here, they probably can't hack it there, and vice versa.
