That's where i picture him fitting in with his skillset. Now, I also think he is skilled enough for those other positions, especially corner. The one area I think he struggles with is when he is asked to play as a deep zone guy, he doesn't close gaps as good as you'd think. That could be because he doesn't have as much experience playing deep. So as it pertains to him and Byron Jones, I don't see them crossing positions much at all. If the plan is for Ramsey to play deep, I'd much rather pick a different player at 4.
it just looks like he makes plays around the LOS. I'm trying to accept he's gone before 4. I know I also better prepare he's there and the cowboys go elsewhere. It's going to be real interesting now that Cleveland lands RG3. This can go in 100 different directions on draft nite

This draft is shaping up to be one of the most interesting drafts in a long time.

I'd love to be cute in a small trade down for an extra high pick and still land Hargraves or Jack, but that seems pie in the sky. and frankly, jerry ain't that lucky.

speaking of pie in the sky...My wish list for Dallas
Round 1 - Ramsey
Round 2 - Kevin Dodd
Round 3 - Kenneth Dixon
Round 4 - Prescott

The only pick that I think is stretch in that scenario is Prescott in the 4th. I would be absolutely ecstatic with that haul, even without Prescott in the 4th. Give me those 3 in the first 3 rounds and I'll do cart wheels in the street.

pretty pie in the sky but we do have early picks in each round. You're correct about the 4th round QB being there, I hope most teams feels as colors does about Dak. Heard Garrett was going to OSU to work out jones.

I doubt were taking a part time specialist at 4. He or Jones may be fine as a starting CB and the other starting FS, I'm just not 100% sold. If Jones wasn't taken last year I'd be higher on Ramsey. Now all that said if he's better than Ramsey as some think he is he will be a very good NFL DB and worth the high pick. I won't be angry at all if he's our guy.
Not saying he is a part time specialist was responding to your scenario I quoted that we MAY be stuck with two FSs if he is like Jones and it turned out that way. Like I went on to say we would NOT be drafting him unless we think he can cover like a true corner and be worthy of the pick. We wouldn't plan on taking him as a rotational guy. I know you understood that but certain individuals have a way of remembering things a certain way even if not accurate and bringing them up later so I just was trying to be clear with what I meant.

Sometimes it hard to get points across with only words. Didn't say nor think your were calling him a part time player. Just that if he and Jones are the same guy one will be a part timer, and my concerns about him. Again I don't know what his best position will be, hell that book is still open on Jones, some say CB some say FS. 2016 will tell the story.

The way I look at it we won't take Ramsay if we don't think he is a shut down type corner. If we are wrong and worst case he is a "jones type" it wouldn't be horrible. I still think we go pass rusher and I think Ramsay will be there at 4 and we pass on him. But I like him and would be happy if we took him.

I'm all for DL either DE or DT. I'm a firm believer the pass rush helps the DB's greatly.

I have a feeling that getting that 4th round comp pick may make pick 4.4 too hot to hold on to. I expect some wheeling and dealing this year. I think we come away with 4 picks thru the first 3 rounds.

Absolutely it does. Pass rusher trumps all on defense by quite a bit if the talent is equal, but Question is, who is that guy(s) this year? We may have picked teh wrong year t osuck last year. I like Bosa, but don't expect him to be a HOF. I think the best pass rusher in the draft is Spence. The off the field stuff will make him drop, but I think he has top 5 talent. His own fault he will drop out of the top 10 and probably further.

Sounds like a perfect trade back target.

I have a feeling the pick at 4 will be between Bosa, hargraeves, jack or Qb. Ramsey probably gone. IMO Goff and Wentz are going to be legit franchise qbs. some real hard choices at pick 4.
receiver is the real need I see on offense after qb.

the funny part of draft is the Browns just signed a qb with a bum knee and probably should draft a qb and wont. I do expect a team to trade up for either goff or wentz

Actually not mad at all. I kind of thought it was funny and still do. How is it you know how I am feeling more than I do? Oh that's right. You know everything!!!:thumb:

And what buds? First you say I am PMing people about you., now I am pulling my buds closer. I can guarantee you I am doing neither. You are one strange bird...Do yourself a favor and Google the psychological definition of Projection. You may learn something about yourself.

Nice article on Thornton on DC.com and his son sounds like a smart kid...

Liked this quote. Easier said than done, but like that he has this mindset:
“I feel like this scheme is definitely for a football player and a guy who wants to attack all the time,” he said. “My mentality isn’t to catch blocks and get rid of them. My mentality is to attack, penetrate and be disruptive. That’s what I want to do and that’s what I’m going to do.”

I see a whole lotta selective reading on your part and your remarks indicate a 3rd grade pout.

I know everything? LOL, more 3rd grade. You must harbor some deep resentments from message board football statements but I'm the strange bird? LOL

it is what it is and as usual you point fingers while holding yourself above all this

You take the last word here....I just had to comment on the 3rd grade statement that has no validity what so ever with regards to me coming back later and twisting your statements. What horse shit.... I mean 3rd grade

I just realized, I guess it is the time of year that you start getting into fights with everyone...been what about 10 straight years of this for you???

Don't forget to tell us all what we should think. We can't make up our minds without your pearls of wisdom...My favorite is always when you know what others are thinking. I can tell you over and over how comical I find this, but you know better...quick, what number am I thinking of???
