first off... Jordan's jersey being retired is flat out stupid. he never played for us..he didn't break down the color barrier. it's just stupid.

Never understood it beyond honoring arguably one of, if not the best player of all time in the NBA. Been trying to find reasons to justify the move but havent been able to find one over the years. But, Riles is a classy SOB, despite Marino or MJ having never played for the Heat or in the NBA( in case of Marino), Riles knows the impact these guys have had on their respective teams and leagues.


That said, I think they can still honor both those guys by just having their names up there as opposed to numbers so that they are available for players to use.

with that said, no Lebron jersey retirement. only 4 seasons.

Agreed, IMO, when you promise not 6, not 7 championships and you only get 2, it is not nearly enough for jersey retirement. Honor him in some form if you want but nothing big. He doesnt deserve that much.

Bk... Could not disagree with you more on Love/Irving/Lebron better than Bosh/Wade/Lebron. I will give you wade has fallen off the last two years. But Irving and Love don't do anything on defense. Nothing. Both are horrible defenders. Wade/Bosh are both top notch defenders. The increase in offsense from those two is not as much as the fall off on defense.

No. The only players we can offer legitimately in that trade is Bosh, Wade or McRoberts along with picks and other assets. I don't want to give up any of that for Josh Smith.
