Lions cut Burleson and Delmas.

Delmas on the cheap interests me. We had interest before.

This makes Delmas available to sign before the start of free agency since he was cut.

Verner is a big player... I wonder what he'll command on the open market... He could also flop like Carr too

Anquan Boldin - WR - 49ers

CSN Bay Area reports the 49ers are currently negotiating a "multi-year extension" with free agent-to-be Anquan Boldin.

NFL free agents can begin negotiating with other teams beginning March 8. Free agency formally opens for business on March 11. All signs to this point have indicated re-signing Boldin was the 49ers' top offseason priority, and that clearly appears to be true with the sides already in contract talks. It's believed the 49ers are targeting a roughly two-year, $10 million agreement with about $6 million guaranteed. Boldin turned 33 last October.

Two years for $10 million seems fair. Patton will have more time learning from Boldin. I just hope Kap looks for him more often in the red zone.

Bruce Miller - RB - 49ers

ESPN reports the 49ers have had "preliminary" extension talks with FB Bruce Miller.

One of the league's better lead blockers, Miller is going into the final year of his rookie contract. Also an able pass catcher, Miller is a favorite of coach Jim Harbaugh. Considering the vanishingly-little leverage held by any fullback, the sides should be able to come to an agreement.

I'm glad you're not the GM. $4 million per year. Are you out of your mind?:L

I surprised to you took offense to the money and not the length..

While the 4m might be on the surface high, it's not like he will sign for 2m per year. He's not a rookie and is regarded as one of the best at his position at a young age.

$4 mill seems a lot of money for a fullback. I didn't even mention the length because I thought you were being sarcastic. Only six fullbacks made over $2 million last season with McClain of the Chargers making $2.75 mill. IMO, I just think $4 mill per year for a fullback is quite high.
