I like Tim Beck's offensive approach. I just want to see him make adaptions in the game plan when it is not obviously working and I want to see those changes actually be executed. Such as, if you have a running QB, run with him, don't pass with him. Conversely, if you have a QB that can throw it well, then throw.

I also do not want to see that throw to the sideline on the first play for a one yard gain, which actually gives the defense a good chance to jump the throw and take it to the endzone.

As for Beck, I don't know about this balanced approach they are talking about. Yeah you need to be able to run if you have to run and you need to be able to pass if you have to pass but if we approach a game determined to be 50/50 then we won't be going with what works and we've done that too much in the past. If that is going to be our goal we are screwed.

If a head coach is replaced, I seriously doubt that the new one would keep that many from the old regime.

Except even last year (and our strength was our running game), once it was slowed down, we lost because we didn't have an effective passing game. Hell, this was proven even in the Crouch years, slow him down and our offense was 2 yards and a cloud of dust. You want to keep defenses honest in todays game you have to be equally effective with the run AND the pass.

Or it could be referring to not wanting certain coaches to move on to other jobs...like assistant coaches tend to do

Corey Raymond was an awful in-game coach and came off as slow and dull in interviews. By some miracle he managed to jump ship to LSU.

Stability would be good. We don't know how Warren will be in game yet, but what I've seen off the field so far has been good.

That's what I meant by

So yeah we have to be able to do both but if we are jamming the ball down their throat we need to keep jamming the ball down their throat. Just do what works.
And my fear is if he has in his mind that we need to be balanced then that is exactly what we won't do. We will switch up because we have 65% running plays and only 35% passing even though the 65% running might be working.

It wouldn't be the first time he has went away from what was working.
