I don't think so did you see the kick? It's all online he's been doing it at a JuCo .. i realize the one in the vid isn't game time but still pretty damn good AND ACCURATE along with distance. .We will take it!!

I saw the kick long time ago. He was committed to Alabama when he did it. Been seeing the videos for months. He kind of fucked us pretty hard because we didn't go after any other kickers because he was "200% committed". He's a good example of why I don't generally keep up with recruiting.

I'm sure he's going to do better than what you had and Mac won't be looking for students to try out. But he wasn't doing it at any JuCo. He is a JuCo transfer but he has 4 years of eligibility left and has never kicked a ball in an actual game.

I'm still pretty damn impressed any time we get a top 5 class. That's a huge influx of talent. And we return so many players we should actually be able to let most of these guys have a year or two before they see the field.

We also have the #1 RB and #4 QB in the class.

It should also be mentioned that UM's class is currently ahead of OSU on both Rivals and Scout.

UM has another huge fish they need to reel in. Rashan Gary. The #1 overall player in the country. He has UM at the top of his list, but everyone wants him.

If they can pull Gary -- it would be a huge get for UM and an unbelievable haul of players from the state of NJ. If they get Gary -- it would be 5 players from NJ in the class. 4 star DE, two 4 star WR's, 5 star RB and if they get Gary -- it'd be a 5 star DT.

Probably helps they got Peppers from NJ to help recruit these guys.

We have a big class, and do have a lot of 3 stars....on the other hand we also have the most 4 star commitments, 13, than any other team currently according to the 247 composite rankings.

If you have a class size of 27, it's highly likely you're going to need some 3 stars to fill it out. Look at OSU's class last year -- size of 27 and according to Rivals took 14 four star kids and took 13 three star kids. Not so far off what we're doing this year.

I'm sure that helps, but that didn't stop Meyer from hiring Greg Schiano, former HC at Rutgers (New Jersey's state university), as his DC and making getting Gary his first assignment.

So, shouldn't you still recruit 4's and turn them into 5's and turn 5's into NFL players, or are you guys just super generous and making it fair for the rest of us...lol.

We recruit more 4* players than nearly anyone every year, and between Rivals/247, we're either first or second, so...

No, it was actually more just me being at a certain site when I was tabulating. OSU's class on 247 in 2015 had 11 three star kids 14 four star kids and 1 five star. Still not very far off.

If I wanted to show Michigan in the best possible light, I would just use the Scout rankings which have us as the #1 class. Michigan has 11+ four or five (scout) star recruits on every site. That's a lot of four star commitments no matter how you want to qualify it.

MSU is actually doing work this year. 10 four star kids might be the best class MSU has ever pulled in.
