See the difference.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, and if already mentioned in thread my apologies. I remember when Bowden had FSU on the upswing they would play anybody anywhere. UCF needs to put on their big boy pants and start paying their dues. Heck the high school I went to could have went 3-9 with UCF's schedule. That is another of UCF's issues, i constantly hear they want home and homes... which they wont get til they can demand it with more than a tantrum but actual long term history of success.
They will play anyone, anywhere aa long as it is on UCF terms and above fair market value for a midmajor especially one that isn’t that far removed from going 0fer.Someone correct me if I'm wrong, and if already mentioned in thread my apologies. FSU has been the example this whole time of how it is done. UCF and their fans want to get what FSU got without putting in the work FSU did... they just dont get it. Ive compared them to the younger generation(s) and how they want instant gratification with zero work.Someone correct me if I'm wrong, and if already mentioned in thread my apologies. THey dont get it
Based on the article, each P5 conference makes 54million, so that equates out to roughly 23% of the pie and does not include the NY6 payout to the G5 conference.I'm sure that's a lot of money but what percentage of the pie is that? 20 or 30%?

How is the fault of the teams who scheduled harder is the real question. If you put a team like UCF in, then you are excluding a team that did schedule tougher.

ND gets 2.5 and the rest of the independents get less than a million to split.
because they dont reschedule or even attempt to when they have a p5 ooc game lost due to hurricane, and they schedule teams that were only good for 1 season no clear history and then bitch that they went back to being exactly who everyone else knew they were. GT UNC to name 2.....
LOL 2022 doesnt help the season it fell off the schedule. UCF pretends they can get away with fewer games when they already have so much to prove. Its not like Bama going, oh well not like it matters. It is UCF.... its a whole extra data point. Obviously it isnt the straw that breaks the camels back but it certainly doesnt help to go 2 years in a row playing 11 regular season games...The GT game has been rescheduled for 2022. Not sure about the UNC game.
You are pretty much making my original point for me which was that everything college football does isn't to find the best team in football but instead how to make the most money.
Lots of good information here. Thanks for going through the trouble. I see the difference.
I gotta ask though. How is that UCF's fault?
The P5 elites are the best teams because they get the best recruits and have the most money...money and talent is impossible to overcome. You could perceive a G5 to be better, but they don't have the talent or resources, so no matter how much pretending you do, it is still just a fantasy. But if you want to take Fembot 3000 out to dinner and a movies who am I to judge.
Who puts UCFaith in Bias Bullshit rankings? Wins and losses are the only thing that matter. Cincy had like a Top 10 record this year. UCF beat.
But you probably think Hilary actually won because all the Polls said so.

How is it anybody else's....
P5 teams are always going to have better recruits and more money. That doesn't mean however that a G5 team can't win. We've seen it happen many, many times. It doesn't hurt to give them a shot. It's good for the fans and it's good for football.
Alabama and Clemson are great teams but fankly, I'm tired of seeing them every year.
