Kid is learning stuff no coach has ever tried to teach him, Flacco could recite the playbook in his sleep I'm sure.

Truth. I'm not even sure why there's a discussion here. No matter what anyone thinks of Flacco, he's a proven pro. The kid is a John Elway project at this point.

Funny thing is, I'm startin' to think Flacco might be gettin' so pissed off hearing about stuff like this, he might be worth something. :)

I can tell you as a Ravens fan that Flacco being pissed off did not make him play any better haha. He was pissed from the day we drafted Lamar and every time he had to line up at WR when Lamar came in, he was visibly upset.

He was a serviceable QB, that went on an unreal to help win a Super Bowl. He should be a respected veteran QB, who isn't very good anymore.

Yep, I'm on board with that. It will be really interesting to see the Broncos offense this year.

I mean, really interesting. Is Elway the next Mad Genius, or just another poseur with HOF creds (as a player)?

I got my eyes out on this team.

Derrick Henry Fantasy Football Outlook (2019)
By Bobby Sylvester (FantasyPros), Tuesday, Jul 23rd

After the way he performed to close out the season, there is no doubting that Tennessee will actually use Henry as the primary back all season. He might lead the league in rushing yards, as he can be a workhorse, but without much help on offense, the touchdowns probably won't accompany the yards, nor will any receiving production, limiting his fantasy ceiling substantially.

i lol'd a bit

I don't think him leading the league in rushing is all that far fetched. Maybe not probable, but doable

may i ask why? hes been in the league 3 years, and had a 4 game stretch. he looked amazing, maybe it carries over. But there are reasons he didnt do that for 2 and 3/4 years. No, its not because he just wasnt given the chance.

from an article i read:
Henry finished with a 176/744/5 rushing line in 2017, good for 4.2 YPC. He scored two meaningless TDs in the final minutes of wins that greatly inflated his true efficiency. Take his runs of 72 yards (Week 6) and 75 yards (Week 13) away, and you’re left with a putrid 174/597/3 season total with 3.4 YPC. Those two runs accounted for 19.8% of his total rushing yards that season. Let that sink in.

Henry started 2018 slow, but came on with some tremendous efforts in the last quarter of the season to end the year with a final 215/1,059/12 rushing line. Many Henry owners cried in vain as they watched the Tennessee back explode for a franchise-record 238 yards and four TDs on their bench in Week 14. If Week 13’s 10/40/1 effort was a raindrop, then Weeks 14-17 were the deluge.

From Weeks 14-17, Henry rushed for an incredible 585 yards and seven rushing TDs (over 55% of his yearly production). After 12 weeks, Henry had rushed for a pitiful 128/474/5 line with a poor 3.7 YPC. He boosted that to 4.9 YPC and finished the season as an RB2 thanks to a tremendous stretch of games that will be extremely difficult to replicate.

'Cause that's what happens when ya work someone like a mule; they become a workhorse. This is also why these guys try (and in some cases, sign) for the big money. Let's see what happens here. I'm pretty sure that Deion Lewis won't be much of a factor, but ya never know. That guy from the Pats has done pretty well for himself.

I get that. But rb is the one position that doesn’t take time to develop.

Name 3 late developing rbs

Pretty sure Turner and Lewis both led the league in rushing yds for 1 season after finally getting their chances to be workhorses

Jamal lewis had 1300 Plus rushing yards his first three years in the league
ingram has 2 thousand yard years in 8 years in the league.........i wouldnt say hes cleared that hurdle
starting with alexanders second year he had 5 consecutive 1000 yard seasons, 3 of them with 1300 plus rushing

Henry really hasn't been given the chance to pile up carries, and now it looks like he'll be given that chance. I get it, you aren't a fan of the talent, but you really think they are gonna let Lewis out touch Henry the first 8wks again? Opportunity is knocking, and the explosiveness has been there all along. Dude's a freight train when he gets in stride, not tons of backs in the league with his HR ability. ADP is mid-3rd right now, 18th RB off the board, no one will draft this guy early 2nd, so the risk-reward seems right

Pretty sure this applies to every player.
Barkley had runs of 78 and two for 68. Take those 3 runs away he loses almost a full yard-per-carry. (Not to mention he had over 100 yards of negative yards.)
