BSOHL Alert!

No matter the spelling! :pound::pound::pound:

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said AJ Dillon is in the best shapre of his time with the team.

“He’s in great shape. I think he’s in a great place mentally,” LaFleur said on the first day of Green Bay training camp. The Packers re-signed Dillon in March after yet another disappointing season in which the big back was among the NFL’s least efficient rushers. Dillon barely cracked 600 rushing yards even with Aaron Jones missing chunks of the regular season in 2023. Josh Jacobs and rookie MarShawn Lloyd would have to miss time if Dillon is to see a starter’s workload in the Packers offense this season.

My sister lives in L.A.
She complains about the cost of living, the homeless, and the bacteria that flows into the ocean making the beach experience terrible (often). Plus they cant get good Chicago pizza or hotdogs.

12 months of yardwork and bugs are enough to keep me away from the sunbelt. Plus i love winter.

J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) has been a full participant in Chargers training camp.
Not only that, Dobbins claims the game has slowed down for him following his ACL and Achilles injuries. “I feel like I’m in college out there right now,” Dobbins said. “And I do think that the storm is over. Now I’m on a new journey, a healthy journey this year. You guys will see — it’ll be special.”

Ok, first of all, I'm assuming he's at least %50 full of shit. Secondly, it's one thing to say he's healthy NOW, it's another to say he will be ten week into the season.
Still...not good news for Gus the Sloth owners

Wil, you murderer of dreams.

Morris said earlier that he wasn’t sure whether or not Cousins would appear in the preseason, but Cousins is already on record saying he’s asked to play in the preseason and was denied. That could change as the team progresses through training camp, but the Falcons’ primary concern is making sure Cousins is healthy and ready for Week 1 when they take on the Steelers.

You aren’t impressed at how the game has slowed down for him…

… in training camp?

Chubb and Brooks starting the season on PUP, don't think any surprises on those two even if there was some small hope they'd start the season in a limited role

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones suggested Royce Freeman could be the team’s No. 2 running back.

Well this falls under the 'no shit sherlock' category for me. Dowdle, Davis, and Vaughn, just arent guys who can be productive for more than a quick 'spark' here and there.
Honestly wouldn't be too terribly surprised to see him as the lead back at some point in the season, just depends on what Zeke has left in the tank.

Regardless, Zeke, Freeman, or 'other', I don't expect a massive FP production from anyone in the Dallas backfield. Might be a nice TD only type play. I can easily foresee Zeke or Freeman having double digit scores with 800 or less yards rushing. Probably a good 10+ opportunities from DPI in the endzone for 1 yard plunges alone.

Panthers RB Rashaad Penny announced his retirement from the NFL after six seasons.

Well that's too bad. I guess that broken leg took more out of him than I ever thought it would. Bummer

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Broncos are expecting a big season out of TE Greg Dulcich.

Local perspective of Dulcich is nearly %100 "we expect nothing form this guy". None of the local beatniks have ever reported that Sean Peyton has had anything all that great to say about Dulcich or his expectations for Dulcich.

Doesn't change the fact that Lucas Krull and Trautman have zero playmaking ability, and if there is a TE to own in Denver, it's still Dulcich

Well the ESPN report does make sense since rookie QB tend to lean on the TE. At least, thats been my observation.

In recent memory there was Purdy to "almost-forgot-he-was-on-the-team" Kittle who had a mini resurgence.

Oh I'd %100 on rookie/young QB's relying on the TE's. That's been an understood, inarguable fact for quite some time I think.
Those who aren't are certainly the exception.

Problem is, they rely on the TE's because they are typically big bodies, with a large catch radius, who generally speaking, run the shorter, higher percentage routes. Dulcich's game is a little more geared towards the intermediate, seam type stuff, and he hasn't exactly proven to be a reliable receiver that could be that security blanket. Maybe he absolutely can, he just hasn't been active for a long enough stretch to make that call.

Hot take on local radio

Remember, it's a hot take, and not from a beat reporter or anyone claiming to have 'inside' knowledge, just a former player doing local radio commentary. But, ya know, its slow around here, so wth, right??

Philip Lindsay predicts rookie WR Troy Franklin does not make the team. Pointing to his early struggles in camp and his 'leading the team in "butt chewings" through week one.
Lindsay says Sutton, Mims, Reynolds, Patrick are the only locks, gives a 5th spot to Lil'Jordan Humphrey, and says he thinks they only keep 5 WR's.
