I gave 'em a 2. Would've been a 1, but I suppose there's a TINY chance now that the head coach is actually coaching and not dropping his pants in the locker room.

I'm semi-confident. I like some of the signings but I'm worried about running backs, back up QB and pass rush.

I gave them a 5. I think the Harbaugh factor will definately increase our chances. I mean they have a lot of talent its just been uncoached and misguided. Coaching in the NFL makes a HUGE difference. Although we may not see this team reach their full potential due to lack of time with Harbaugh, if they make the playoffs.... like some else said.... anything is possible.

I'm currently a "5" on a scale of 1 to 10. I'm far more concerned about the offensive line though at this point than I am about the quarterback position. I think Smith can do an adequate job but I'm not so sure about anyone on the line. They all look shaky, both individually and collectively.

Do you think it is because they are learning a different blocking scheme? I might be wrong, but I thought they were more zone the last few seasons. If that is the case, we should see some development each game, but I am concerned about some of them not developing quick enough.

btw, I voted 4. I am not confident this season, especially in the beginning. I just hope the team looks better towards the end of the season.

Also, I love this new board. I only posted a little bit at the espn board. I used to post links to the games every Sunday a few years back when I lived in San Diego.

Do you think it is because they are learning a different blocking scheme? I might be wrong, but I thought they were more zone the last few seasons. If that is the case, we should see some development each game, but I am concerned about some of them not developing quick enough.

That and a new Center making the line calls. I have my doubts about our Right Tackle even though he was a first rounder. Other than that, with the addition of Goodwin they are solid. Lack of work togther is really holding them back though. I hope they get it together before Smith gets killed. I'll be watching for that development you spoke of this weekend.
