Based on the team's current roster, construction,management,etc., How confident are you in the Niners to make a run for the Super Bowl this season?

How confident are you in the Niners to make a run for the Super Bowl this season?

I all hope you guys vote. The poll ends on 8/12, right before our first preseason game.

I misread the poll question. Though you were asking what our confidence was of the team in general rather than of it's chances to go to the Superbowl. My vote would have been a lot different had I realized that.

I expect a slow start when new systems are installed, but this off season only makes it worse. We still have some holes in important positions.

It would be a 1, but we play in a weak division and watched Seahawks beat the Saints in the playoffs last year. If we could be the weak team in the playoffs anything becomes possible, I just don't think it is likely.

Voted a 3. Sea and Ari have new QB's, Rams have a new OC and the Niners have a new system so anything can happen. But I like the coach and some of the pickups. Niners do have good talent. But need to see some games before I can give them any confidence.

I'd have to rate it a 2 right now. I'm more confident in Harbaugh being able to build a future SB contender but this season.....man that's an uphill battle if ever there was one.

Maybe a 3. I think we can, as Seattle did last season, go to the playoffs in a weak division, and maybe pull an upset win out of our collective @$$. Hopefully we don't have to have a losing record to do it. It depends upon the coaching and whether Harb & Co. can get this patchwork of players from FA after the lockout playing like a team and not a gaggle of castoffs.

I'm going with a 5. Last season we were the clear cut favorites to win the west. I see no difference in what this team has to offer. We have the most talent out of any team in the NFC west. The Rams are probably a Vernon Davis or Patrick Willis away from being on par with us (on paper). I think Harbaugh will be able to utilize the talent we have a lot more sufficiently than we've seen the past couple of seasons. We have the weapons to be up there with the more explosive offenses in the league. I think we still have the best defense in the division, and we also have smoother sailing this year with an easier schedule compared to last season.

I gave a 6. If the Seahawks could go at 7-9 and upest the Saint's I got to believe we can make it and make a run. I settled there because I don't think we are Super Bowl Contenders I do see a shot at winning the west and a home playoff game.

I went 4 with basically the same logic, little lower because of a rookie HC and short offseason.
