Game Thread: Falcons @ Niners

GO FALCONS!!! Please lord let this miracle happen. It's the last game at Candlestick so I'm not crossing my fingers or anything... but if they lose then we control our own destiny in week 17. Win are we're in.

Reasons to believe this could happen:

1. ATL has played MUCH better their past four games. Two of their four wins came in that span. The losses were a mere 4 point defeat to New Olreans and a 1 point heartbreaker to Green Bay. So it appears they haven't packed it in.
2. Matty Ice is due for a scorcher. The ATL air attack is still something to be recokoned with.
3. Colin Crapernick is massively over-rated and is capable of being underwhelming against terrible teams (see his performance against Titans and Jags)

That's all I got. It's desperate, I know. Honestly, we are hoping on one of the most epic choke-jobs in years for SF to lose this game at home and I can't see these Niners laying that massive of egg.

I'll still be watching though. Go Falcons!

I just hope somehow the big moment and hype around this being the last regular season home game for S.F. gets them a bit off their stride.

Tony Gonzalez's from Cal makes a final appearance in the bay area and the Falcons should remember these Niners ended their season last year and should want to throw a wrench into their plans for the playoffs maybe a little more than a team like the Bucs would.

Reasons why it won't happen:

1. Jones is still out. Roddy is not 100%. Gonzo is not 100%.
2. OL still can't block worth a crap.
3. Defensive play is still very bad.

We beat Washington by only one point and they gave us 7 turnovers. Yeah, we're really gonna beat SF. Sure we are.

LOL...yeah, the list of why the Niners are going to win has like 35 reasons.

But let's not forget what the reasons Seattle was going to win last night looked like:
1. #1 Defense in the NFL
2. Haven't lost at home since 2011
3. Russell Wilson has never lost at home
4. SEA already beat AZ pretty good earlier in the year....ON THE ROAD. Imagine how much easier it will be at False Start Stadium
5. Palmer will throw at least 4 INTs
6. Palmer is nursing an ankle and elbow injury...wow...it's going to bad
7. Fitz is not 100%.
8. Rob Houlser will be on the field
9. It's going to be LOUD.

The Falcons will play to win but I definitely would not get my hopes up. If you have to depend on the Falcons you are pretty much doomed.

This is probably going to be a curb stomping job by the Niners. The Falcons defense is terrible.

The main reason is the Niners knocked the Falcons out of the playoffs last season. Maybe they want to return the favor. This is basically the Falcons Super Bowl so lets hope it happens.
