Ravens defense with 5 picks tonight and they win it 33-19. Ravens pretty much controlled the game, Niners were too sloppy. Ravens have a very strong team - their offense has really opened up this year and they are very strong at each level. Off night for the Niners, I still think they are the best NFC team but they didn’t play well.

I was worried that the game was going to go like this because it exposes a massive flaw in the 9ers offense.

The 9ers offensive line outside of Trent is well below average at it's whole. It relies on Kyle's razzle-dazzle playcalling to create obvious mismatches in the passing game and favorable blocking angles in running game but when it faces a defense like the Browns and Ravens where razzle-dazzle is simply less effective it's a huge issue because the offensive line simply can't hold up.

With a team like the Ravens you need time for the receivers to get open so you need blocking to hold up long enough to give those receivers time and the 9ers offensive line just can't do it against great defensive lines. On the flip side in the running game you need guys that can just physically win their battles and Trent is the only one capable of doing that. So the 9ers offense as a whole just falls flat if Kyle can't use all the tools in the toolbox the way he wants.

9ers defense I thought was solid at least and pretty much everytime the Raven's had to drive the length of the field they held them to FGs which is all you can ask for really against a great team.

Parity is real, no dominant team significantly better than the others, lotta teams in the middle.

It’s actually 11-4. That’s what’s so frustrating. They have enough talent to win. They can’t get out of their own way with self induced problems.
