He's no good to me dead!
You don't really think anyone's dumb enough to trade Nash into their own division, do you?
(I keep wanting to say Howson, but it doesn't seem right...)

losing Salo and Rome is more of a lateral move no? we just got younger. I guess that is the plus. Yes Im excited about Garrison but it doesnt blow me away for a successful off season. its a start.
Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Garrison
Ballard - Tanev
could very well be the best d-squad we've ever had.
(certainly the best since the Diduck / Dirk/ Lumme / Lidster years)
caveat to that - I think Ballard is a much better defenseman than we've seen here so far. How can he lead the Panther blueline with 26m per night, then struggle so badly here?
I also expect Tanev to gain some strength and learn how to get a shot away in quicker than 35 seconds.
still not convinced by the bottom 6 forwards though
Andy Strickland @andystrickland
Agent for Shane Doan is doing a good job of drumming up interest for his client...it's going to take 3 or 4 yrs to sign him
For Pens: Doan at 3 yrs is a stretch. If he is seeking 4 yrs, he won't be a Penguin and welcome Semin. But, other teams will feel the same way...Doan may have suitors now, but some will back out due to his term, which will increase Semin value... look for Pens to sign Semin to a 2 yr deal around 10 mil before Doan is signed.
Lets Go Pens
i might not be able to stal ... i mean ... confron ... I mean ... meet Shea Weber July 29 in Kelowna as Ill be driving back that night to be back in town for the 30th
gonna have to crash the golf tournament ...
That's a pretty good deal for both parties, IMO.
Neil is a leader and never takes a shift off. He's a great guy to have around the young talent coming up the ranks in the Sens organization. He's also one of the league's best open ice hitters.
Well he got more than Carkner, good for him.
dont know if it was mentioned but i believe ottawa signed Eckford from the devils as well

They did Clarkson.
I don't know anything about this guy. What's he like as a player?
Seems like this signing is designed for depth for the farm to me.

Blues trade Crombeen and a fifth-rounder to the Lightning for two fourth-round picks.
my goodness that seems cheap for Crombeen.
I know he's not going to hit the score sheet, but he seems a decent energy guy, and hits to hurt.
honestly, I'm glad to see him out of the west.
