I am so sick of this pathetic joke of an offense. I don't expect Toronto Blue Jays numbers, but this is just embarrassing. We can't score against anyone... righty, lefty, ace, spare, starter, reliever... it doesn't matter.

It would be easier to take if they were facing Kershaw type talent, but again they are facing total spares and bullpen guys that are as close to hot garbage as you can get

Agree but not right now.

I just don't see having a guy start a playoff game who barely can get through 5 innings. I think he was a good pick up for sure but we are in crunch time and need a guy who can pitch deeper

A's bullpen has a 5.63 ERA the past 23 games. Maybe an opening for #Rangers, who trail 5-1 in sixth.

Apparently Jeff Wilson who tweeted this hasn't seen this teams batting numbers lately
We couldn't even score against Seattle's sorry BP.

You already said that. In the playoffs if we have a lead in the 6th I am feeling good. But you would rather have a pitcher who would be behind in the 6th. I love Perez but he is not there now.

Its almost like, if they dont score multiple runs early they just don't score at all. The approach seems to get worse as the game goes on. That is why I was glad they got the 3 early last night, its the only way they were gonna win. You would think they would get better the 2nd and 3rd times through the order vs the other starters, yet they don't.

Agree except it won't matter till we score runs. He can just eat innings for ter time being.

If there was a drinking game tied to pitching changes tonight things could get messy.

Andro is such a dipstick

DDJ has been a complete mess at the plate since returning... totally lost up there. But he was already starting to struggle a bit before he got hurt.

I appreciate DD's eye, especially being a rookie, however, sometimes when the game is on the line, or we really need to get back into a game, his insistence on seeing if he can get a walk is infuriating. If it's close, he needs to protect the plate.

DDJ that's twice, swing the bat.

he does take some walks but he watches a lot of strikes go by. I am talking a bunch of heart of the plate strikes, mostly the first pitches of AB's

Wow, that second strike (swing) by Beltre was bad. He's swatting flies instead of balls.

And Beltre with the awful-looking K with RISP.

I have never seen him look this bad. Ever. This is not the Beltre we all know. I don't know who this is, but it's not Beltre. This isn't a slump, it's a totally different person. He is up there totally guessing.

You just knew that he would swing at a bad pitch for strike 3.
