The 1987 Minnesota Twins had a run differential of -20, a season record of 85-77 and went on to win the World Series.
The Mariners probably won't do that, though.
Imported the coconut straight from Germany.@broncosmitty is great. He gave us the chocolate cake!

Seriously though, I was just sharing an opinion of what I would do were I the Mariners GM based on the overall odds of a deep playoff run, and a bunch of you guys, laying right down into the reputation of pacific NW sports fans, started cunting it up about “but the Indians suck!”
Much like the French fur trappers that settled your area, you guys are a bunch of whiney cunts. You ought to focus on soccer.
All I said was anything can happen in the playoffs and yes the Indians would be favored against the M's. Despite the Tribes record, they're probably better then us.
I have no hard feelings, but that’s not all you said.
I don’t give a shit if the Indians get respect from other fan bases or not. I made a general point that the M’s had a long shot to a championship based on the fact that they’d have to face three teams that have been better than them, just to make the World Series.
It’s a reasonable take, hence most places giving the M’s a 1% chance of winning the WS.
This all started when I said I wouldn’t mortgage the M’s future on a marginally better shot this year.
Pussies subsequently filled with sand.
