Beats having Turco back I bet!

Hoping to at least make it to the finals
I expect to see him play well this season.
Is Gaborik good to go? I believe the Rangers are pretty maxed out with their salary cap so this may have to be the year they make a major push before cutting loose some assets.
I expect he'll be mediocre to poor, like he always is. I have been saying for years that he was overrated based on one playoff run. Penguins fans (many on here) adamantly disagreed. He doesn't pass the eyeball test. Lateral movement - mediocre to slow. Positioning - mediocre. Glove hand - mediocre. He's simply not...very...good. And I don't know why it's so hard to see it. He's been an all-star ONE time and only because the Penguins' fans stuffed the box.
The thing Fleury had going for him, according to Pens' fans, was that he was "clutch." I think that has been blowed up the last few seasons. His save percentage the last three playoffs is well under the .900 mark. He's lost 3 of his last 4 playoff series.
But please, keep paying him $5 million, Pens. He's an overrated, overpaid pile.
He's ready to go. I don't believe our cap situation is that bad.

You're right.
7 teams are in worse shape than the Rangers in terms of the cap.
Boston 1,332,024 in cap space
Minnesota 1,377,500
Vancouver 2,431,667
Philadelphia 2,756,627
Chicago 3,529,872
Calgary 3,531,668
San Jose 4,958,333
NY Rangers 5,341,666
This is according to capgeek.
How is Calgary in that bad of shape cap wise?
We like expensive underperforming defensemen.
Dennis Wideman lol
Let's see how Jason Garrison does this season there chuckles...

I'm sorry, when you look at the Pens general success the past few years I don't think you can really call Fleury overrated.
I have been saying for years that he was overrated based on one playoff run.
