not sure if we have one or not, but i know donors let the coaches use their jets for recruiting. they can get "points" for better tickets, tailgate spots, etc. for doing that.

If Nebraska wants to keep up with the big boys it's gonna have to be 10 places at once.

whatever he may be, he has done more for this program than anyone. we will get there, because of what he's done. sure, he's got some drawbacks (think of the attendance if they could serve alcohol at the new arena) but i give him a pass on about anything because of what he has done for us.

But the fact is, we really haven't been shit since 1997.........that is just the sad reality of it all.

Actually, we've been a joke ever since 1997. Even with Eric Crouch and all that noise. We weren't nearly as good as were given credit for.

When my son was a jet mechanic for Duncan Aviation he always talked about working on the Huskers recruiting jet. Not sure if the school owns it or a booster, but they have one at the ready for whenever they need it.

agreed. the way the huskers avenged the loss to texas in the conf champ game was the bomb! major applewhite had the husker's number in 2 previous matchups. i would have loved to see the team up against florida state. despite the score, the huskers dominated the defending champion volunteers in the fiesta bowl.

Please don't think I'm trying to judge you. This is a good post. My generation depends on older guys to give perspective on seasons we weren't old enough to appreciate. Although I was alive, I can honestly say I really don't remember the '99 season. Was that the season Crouch ran that 90 yard run against Missouri? Was it Missouri? I do remember Crouch making a long run.
Why can't you post like this all the time?
