Yeah Ray I hear ya. Nice to be able to have some optomism finally. Most of our glaring holes are being filled. Although I think our secondary is still terrible, but nothing can be done about that atm. And the QB situation is what it is.

I think Whitner is a major upgrade at Strong Safety. They do need to upgrade at Cornerback and Free Safety.

Why? We still have the same QB who can't win, our pass-rush is still a complete unknown, and our secondary is still mediocre, at best. This is the same crap I heard last offseason when everyone was telling me we were gonna win the division.

I'm just hoping Kap starts sooner to he can make this season worthwhile.

I don't disagree with a lot of this clyde but the ray of hope that I do have is that the coaching staff now is far superior to that joke of a staff that was here last year

Yeah I think we needed two cornerbacks. I agree its been upgraded from what we had at the start of free agency, but it wasn't hard to improve upon that.
I think our pass rush is going to get a ton better though, and that will cover up secondary weaknesses to an extent.

Wow. This thread blew up.! I'm mixed on this one. WR was certainly worrying me. Based on the contract, there's way more upside than risk, though IMO. We shall see.

Just throwing this out there. The Giants were reportedly one of the teams who had red-flagged Crabtree for character issues when he came out. Just sayin............

Edwards signed for a year but with his off the field problems, I wonder how many actual games he'll play before getting himself in trouble. If this guy gets his act straight, this is a good signing. However, this smells like Lawrence Phillips all over again.
