The league should take a good long look at that elbow Wingels on Wilson. That looked pretty predatory.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but how is an elbow to the head "predatory" but a punch (or 9) to the head is OK?

And yes, I know OTT tends to be guilty of both in this series. Just continuing my theme on why playoff officiating is ridiculous

I think I already complained about the punches, too. But the elbows tend to be more dangerous, since they happen on the move and carry more momentum. Both are predatory, but the elbows are both predatory and more dangerous, so it's a rare case of DoPS making at least marginal sense to review the elbows but not the punches.

Ottawa can totally rebound, they have the tools. But I don't think that offsets the confidence the Penguins built in that game. Games 1 to 3, the trap had them frustrated, Andersen looked impenetrable, and injuries were piling up. Game 4 they scored a few more, but it was still close.

Now, they know they can beat the trap, beat Andersen, and sustain pressure. And might be getting some injured players back. I think they'll play a road game very similar to Game 7 last round and pull out the V.

I can't even do that much. I was brought in right after a merger and all the good/usable titles were taken. So for the past two years people have been thinking I can help them with IT issues and referring to my email signature as proof: "Sez right chere, you're a DBA, you can fix my lotus notes!!!"

Wingels won't have a hearing. I'm really lost on that one. It was end of a blowout game, so the whole "send a message" thing was in play. It's the first chicken wing elbow I've seen in a while. It was a fourth line player. This was an easy one for the DoPS to handle. That wing was Cooke-ian. Man.
