I followed the game via ESPNs gamecast and what a let down. You have to close games. Our defense was an abomination in the second half. Fuck our DC Mansucky. And maybe we should have kept Petersen active. Didnt he break a 90 plus yard run against the Eagles last year? Guice under 2 yards a carry. . .disgusting. Gruden learn how to light a fire under your players asses! Fucking bullshit

Gruden's explanation for Peterson is pretty weak. Let me get this straight - to be prepared on punt returns you are willing to compromise your running game (the beauty of the 3 headed monster is that you can mix it up & potentially be more effective), possibly damage team chemistry & maybe even cause AP to have 2nd thoughts on his future w/ the Skins. All the while you are placing the burden of the running game on a RB who had never had one carry in the NFL to that pt.

This does not appear to be well thought out by Gruden & if things are not turned around this will be just another reason to get rid of him.

As soon as Philly drove it down our throats on the opening drive of the 3rd qtr. I knew we where in trouble. Gruden gets out coached 90% of the time when it comes to making in game adjustments. You have to win these type of games.

I appreciate you posting this type of thing but honestly don't want to listen to anything this guy has to say at this pt. It is the same crap season after season - just excuses & a promise to do better that rarely materializes. He also seems to get a pass on just about everything & it is always someone else's fault.

I was OK with giving him another shot this season, but my patience is wearing thin especially with this BS with Peterson. I hope that Gruden proves me wrong but kind of hard to believe that given their schedule, his past & his current behavior. It is almost as if the last name Gruden is now
synonymous with bad head coaching in the NFL. Cmon Jay - do better.

For the first Half the Redskins were Better than the Eagles and that has to be looked at as Progress. 2nd Half the Eagles talent just came out and the Redskins team was not up to the challenge yesterday. I congratulate the team for Progress. I know that's not what the burgundy and gold diehards want to hear but it seems to be a fair positive assessment of what looks to be going on.

I agree that the defense did terribly in the 2nd half & has to be held accountable. However this type of play from the offense was a contributing factor & it also kept the defense on the field even more. I also love how you portray it as if Gruden is only responsible for the offense. As someone else here noted - he is the head coach (perhaps he is a Norv Turner type & should stick to being an asst).
