Dennis Kelly?
Who????
Dennis Kelly?
Who????
What a shocker. He had such glowing reports coming out of college.
Well...I'm sure the Eagles will get him to realize his true potential.
The Eagles traded away nothing for a lottery ticket. If DGB turns it around after coming to a new team, it's a great move. If he flakes out and never amounts to anything, he'll be released and the Eagles will have lost nothing. Good move on their part.
He will be released and then picked up by Team Y. A fan of Team Y will then post on here about what a great pickup he is. He will then be released by Team Y and then...well...you get the point.

Bullshit
Team Y doesn't need him, because Team Y has the best receivers ever. That one guy caught a touchdown last year, and they drafted another guy, and that undrafted rookie free agent looked really good in minicamp. And don't even get me started on the options at tight end!
You're probably right. Lottery tickets usually lose. But if you get a chance to play the lottery for free, you might as well give it a shot.
unless the receiver they cut to keep him ends up better than him or unless he still can't learn how to run a pattern and cuts wrong and the result is a huge int that loses them the game, or unless they need to play an even worse OL than Kelly (they do have one OL out for most of the year and Peters is always a health question at this point) that gets there two remaining QBs hurt. Remember Philly's Offense is going to be totally different, maybe he'd be a better fit going forward? The Eagles traded away nothing for a lottery ticket. Drafting him as high as they did seems like the worse move, jmo.DGB has some intriguing metrics at least.
Getting absolutely nothing for him seems like yet another terrible move by a terrible franchise.
