He's a fucking statue!

Yeah I know, even my coworker said something about those two plays Jhonny made. And I would say his opinion of Peralta is a little worse then yours. He made the comment the other day that he wants to trade Peralta to the Yankees for Rizzuto, because Rizzuto has more range today then Jhonny has.

Am I the last to have seen this insane curveball from Porcello?

I think we have all seen more of it than the hitter Donaldson ever did. I've seen knee buckling curves before, but never a knee breaking curve, like this one almost was.

Porcello should go to the pen...that way when he does come in, old smokie already has made his defensive subs....you know our great fielders like DK, santiago and and ummm...dam we lost our defensive gem raburn......wow this team really has NO defense on the roster besides ajax and hunter. Porcello doesnt bother me as much as constantly watching peralta ground into DP's or watching avila leave runners on while swinging his heavy bat always missing....his bat is huge, but i swear theres a hole in it.

That was amazing. The lad does have talent, but when he is not getting ground balls, or Peralta and company cannot unfreeze to get to them, it spells doom.

More and more I see why Dombrowski goes after strikeout artists. You gotta have them when you put a defensive infield out there that resembles a beer league softball team...

:omg:

Line for Rick Porcello today vs. Angels...

2/3 IP, 9R, 9ER, 9H, 1BB, 0K, 11.08 current ERA.

:omg:

the smartest Tigers fan since Sparky Anderson....the guy would be pitching bullpen at best for any other team in the majors....if you need an example...look at Luke Hochevar....

Porcello and shields have identical whips, but shields is your best pitcher and porcello wouldnt even crack most team starting rotations? I guess your team wouldnt fall into that category then as he would be a top three starter for the royals. And before you tell me how awesome ervin santana is, he sucks balls every other year and dont bother comparing chen to porcello.

The only thing worse than a troll is a brain-dead troll.

First off, Porcello is better than about 70% of the #4 starters in the majors, and almost all of the #5 starters.

Secondly.... Hochevar??? BWAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAA!!!!

Hochevar's career (29 years old): 42-61, 5.11 ERA, 603 K in 834.2 IP, 273 walks.

Porcello's career (24 years old): 60-50, 4.55 ERA, 504 K in 853.2 IP, 220 walks.

Hochevar has the edge in strikeouts per 9 IP, but Rick has 53 fewer walks in 19 more innings. There's a reason Hochevar is in the bullpen: he was a complete BUST as a starter. He had a 5.73 ERA his last season in the Royals rotation -- an ERA that Porcello hasn't even approached.

Porcello hasn't been great, but at age 24 and putting up more Quality Starts than in any previous season, he still has a future as a starter. That ship has sailed for Hochevar.

Don't worry... he can't tell you how awesome santana is.. because he got banned from this forum...

He'll be a low 3 era with the improved infield defense. Peralta-infant-fielder-Cabrera=no range.

Porcello wouldn't crack most teams rotation? The keyword being crack since that's what your smoking. Freudian slip perhaps? Porcello would be the ace or number 2 on a lot of teams.
