I mean...Tim Hortons.

EDIT: Although you really could divide Ohio in half. Columbus/Toledo? Canada. Cinci/southern Ohio? Uhhh...not so much.

Dayton goes north with us. And most of Cincy's suburbs.

Sounds like there's still plenty of chatter out there...but for the most part, I think the rumor mongers are reading too much into a building filled with GMs chatting.

Somebody ain't happy.

There's just that whole bordering of Kentucky to consider, hahah. And a lot of the central non-Columbus areas.

RE: Luo. I don't really understand I guess...had he just resigned himself to a trade, so now that it's not happening he's frustrated? I imagine he is pretty frustrated in general. Hard to ignore trade rumors.

Mike Ribeiro will hit the market on July 5th. Won't get an extension from Capitals. #RDS

Devils trade to get the 208th pick and they pick Marty's son Anthony.

Nice gesture.

Louie Lams called Marty down specifically so he could announce the pick.

Lotta class for a "Mickey Mouse" organization.

RE: Luo. I don't really understand I guess...had he just resigned himself to a trade, so now that it's not happening he's frustrated? I imagine he is pretty frustrated in general. Hard to ignore trade rumors.

they had told him for 14 months that they were trying to move him, and he had handled himself with unbelievable professionalism and humour.

the crazy thing is, it's kind of everybody's fault.
- first and foremost: The NHL changed the rules on contracts which were legal at the time they were signed. i have no idea how they got away with this, but it is complete and utter bullshit to penalize a team (Van, NJ, Nash, etc) on a contract that the league itself allowed.
- word is that Luongo declined a trade last year, as
- his agent Lupien told him Florida would be coming hard for him (source jstew)
- Gillis bided his sweet time waiting for someone to get desperate, and got squeezed.
- old man Acquilini reportedly put the kaibosh on the buy-out option

I am happy with Luongo as our goalie - if he is willing to retake the job.
I think he will, as he has handled this thing with grace, and in the end he keeps the reins.
But I wouldn't blame him if he was pissed at the whole mess.

He really has handled it well. Having a great sense of humor helps.

I guess the Oil had a much bigger package for Schneider than NJ, but Gillis didn't want to make the trade within the division.

Some men get to draft their sons. Some get to draft their nephews. Never before has it happened with the same pick.

Can't. Stop. Laughing.

I was thinking "Melanie Brodeur still looks good".

Then I realized it might have been her sister.
