If say three teams want JG, you can't have him for "free", you will have to beat out the other two. Every single year, there are NFL teams looking for a QB, even back-up QB's.

Anyway, JG's best situation is to play lights out in 2021, and attract a bigger market for his services. You need to play well and increase your value before worrying about trade or cut. He is in no better position to have a big year than now, with the 49ers.

Aaron Banks is a great pick. He was the best offensive linemen this year at Notre Dame who has one of the better offensive lines in college football.
