Eldridge with two 2-run homers tonight for Eugene (#5 and #6 at A+)

He had an OPS of .801 in San Jose (51 games, 205 AB)
He has an OPS of .991 in Eugene (34 games, 123 AB)
After just missing on 104 mph EV moonshot that CF caught at wall earlier in the game, Bryce Eldridge picked up HR #15 with an almost identical moonball (43 degree LA!!) that went way out over Emeralds bullpen in RF.

And then he homered again in his next plate appearance 6 homers, .991 OPS in 157 plate appearances at high-A

he's 19

You dont have to admit the truth, just don’t lie to us by saying that you DONT have multiple pairs yourself…
I don't they are THAT old. But a decade is a good possibility (actually, now that I think about it, I may have a couple that are at least 15).

Now, is it bad that my newest is probably 5 years old?

Bo Davison (San Jose) is slashing .434/.556/.811 (245 wRC+) with 8 home runs, 33 RBI, and 24 runs in 135 plate appearances since July 1. This includes a 19.3% BB rate, 20.0% K rate, and .377 ISO. He has also stolen 5 bases in 7 opportunities during that stretch

The Giants are moving reliever Cam Cotter up to Richmond. Cotter had a 2.27 ERA with 48 strikeouts and only 9 walks in 47.2 innings in Eugene. He was college teammates with both Patrick Bailey and Will Wilson at NC State.

The Giants' DSL Black team just keeps rolling. They won this morning, 16-7 and are now 40-13. That's a .755 winning %. Over a 162 game schedule that would work out to 122 wins.

It is worth checking the team out, and many of the outstanding players are quite young.

Jhonny Level Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News is a 17 y-o SS and has 10 homers and 46 RBI's in 48 games played. OPS is .910. And he has 18 steals!

Oliver Tejada Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News is a 17 y-o CF hitting .300 with 13 steals. His OPS is .893

Alessandro Duran Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News is a 19 y-o catcher hitting .308 with a .798 OPS. He has a good arm, but fielding is an issue. This year he has 5 errors and 4 PB while throwing out 10 of 30 baserunners.

In today's the Giant catchers had 5 passed balls. FIVE! Oye!

Nice to see the kids do well, hoping they do well at the next stop. Exciting to see a Giants' team do so well as a team. Winning culture and all that.

Giants 1st Round pick James Tibbs III has been promoted to Eugene. Quick breeze through San Jose included a cool 17 for 41
Just read an Athletic article about Eldridge, Tibbs, and Davidson, all exciting for different reasons

Quote on Eldridge (can post the whole article if asked):

"What Eldridge offers, however, is something more than a long swing that generates power. He has a shorter swing that also generates power, and it’s already taken him to High A, where he’s absolutely thriving. The 19-year-old was hitting .321/.441/.522 through Monday, even though he’s three-and-a-half years younger than the average player in that league.

The last major leaguer that young to have that kind of success at the level was Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The last Giants prospect to have that kind of success at the same age was Heliot Ramos. It’s a smaller sample for Eldridge (just 170 plate appearances as of this writing), but his wRC+ is ahead of players like Jackson Holliday, Carlos Correa and Ronald Acuña Jr. at the same age and level.

Of course, you could click on that link and find a lot of less successful stories, but Eldridge has one of the higher walk rates of any of them. There have been a lot of teenagers doing similar things over the last two seasons, so it’s a new era in a couple of ways, but none of them are as large and imposing as Eldridge. He started slowly this season, but he’s becoming one of the very best prospects in baseball."

I would guess there is a SMALL chance he could get a cuppo next season, but I think there is a GOOD chance he will get some serious MLB time by ‘26.

He is full of helium right now.

Eldridge with his 7th homer and 33rd RBI (in 39 games) for Eugene tonight

Tibbs is 0-2 with a run, a walk, and a strikeout, covering all the bases before he gets his first A+ hit

Perdomo has given up one hit and struck out 8 in 4 innings.

BTW, the second baseman for Tri-Cities is named Caleb Ketchup. ;)

The DSL Giants Black team which had the best record by far in the DSL lost its semi-final playoff game yesterday, 7-5.

They won today, scoring 2 in the top of the 9th to win 3-2.

I believe the semi-final series is best of three, as the first game was home, the second away, game 3 will be at home tomorrow.
