DHWhere does that put JDD?
DHWhere does that put JDD?
Orange colored glasses…strong inter webs rumors that Harry is getting called up to start tomorrows day game.
Manaea to the bullpen. Strip still struggling. Jelly is a mess. JJ better suited in relief.
This makes some sense.
The kids are coming.
I expect Vaun Brown to get activated first. He is currently with Eugene, marked as "rehab" and is on Richmond's 7 day IL. But I could be wrong. There can be a domino effect with promotions like this. Moving Luis Matos up, who played primarily in CF, would open up a spot in the OF for someone like Wade Mekcler, who is off to a hot start in A+
Good call. This just happened.I expect Vaun Brown to get activated first. He is currently with Eugene, marked as "rehab" and is on Richmond's 7 day IL. But I could be wrong.
I look forward to how he handles the batters' wasteland that was known (and is known again?) as the Eastern League.Good call. This just happened.
This makes much more sense than Wade Meckler (as I originally suggested). Vaun Brown was in the middle of a rehab assignment with Eugene, but Meckler could be an option at some point soon as well.
I forgot that Jackson would be nearing a return now. Assuming everyone stays healthy, I would guess that Beck gets optioned when Jackson is ready to be activated.MiLB performances today
AA
Ismael Munguia: 3-5, HR, RBI
Wade Meckler: 3-5, RBI
Marco Luciano: 2-5, 2B, HR, 4 RBI
Carter Aldrete: 2-5, HR, 2 RBI
Blake Rivera: 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO
AAA
Luke Jackson: 1 IP, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO
Patrick Bailey: 1-4, HR, RBI
We can only hopeI forgot that Jackson would be nearing a return now. Assuming everyone stays healthy, I would guess that Beck gets optioned when Jackson is ready to be activated.
He has made 8 appearances so far this year. 4 have been good+, 4 have been bad-. In order of his appearances…Keaton Winn is about ready to be called up. His stats after the first two games (where he didn't start):
2.61 ERA
1.40 WHIP
0.44 HR/9
11.76 K/9
3.04 BB/9
8.87 K/BB
If Harry had that walk rate, he'd be in SF.
I'm thinking Strip to the IL, Winn up. He's on the 40
Again, if you throw out the games where he didn't start, you've got a pretty bright picture. He's a starter, not a bulk inning reliever. Those first two "bad" games were not starts. I think he's fairly close to being called up to take the #5 slot.He has made 8 appearances so far this year. 4 have been good+, 4 have been bad-. In order of his appearances…

he is tending in the right direction, but I would like to get more consistently good before rewarding him with a cuppo.
But if they need a starting arm, he may still be the answer just out of the situation, so you may be right. But perfect world (for his development) I want to see more from him first.
I hate the IP limits they are placing on him, but that is baseball today.Kyle Harrison last night in Sacramento:
4IP 0H 0R 1BB 9K....61 pitches.
He's damn close to ready.
EZ all good!!!!! AIE AIE AIE!!!!!!!!I hate the IP limits they are placing on him, but that is baseball today.
While that game is awesome, and it is his 3rd awesome start in 5 games, his previous game was rough (3.1 IP, 5 ER, 4 hits, 3 BB).
And the most telling stat on his season, and probably a deal breaker for me…
0-2 on the season. Dude simply has no sphincter control. Imagine how he will shrivel in the big lights of the Show.
