I read somewhere there's a John's Highway in Puerto Rico, but I Googled it and nothing came up. At any rate, Johneshwy Fargas is the last of the Tools Trio of Mikey Edie, Gustavo Cabrera and him. Not that there are no other players in the system with tools, but these 3 stand out as having particularly high ceilings and are 3 very similar players. I like Fargas a lot and would not count him out of being the best of the 3. He certainly is tooled up with a recorded time of 6.55 in the 60 yard dash and clocked at 97 MPH on a throw from the OF. The bat, as always with these types, is the big question. His contact rates and plate discipline at his first two pro stops are encouraging. He has good bat speed and oodles of room to fill out his frame so the power potential is there too. Augusta would be the next logical stop for him. That will be a serious test of the bat. If you are looking for a deep sleeper for your dynasty fantasy baseball league, I think Fargas might be your guy.

He's wirey strong, so I don't think he could be completely useless with a bat. Definitely possesses a skill set to watch (and I know you've had your eye on him for a while now, Stokes).

Thanks for the information, Stokes. I hope he develops power because I think he looks more like a Billy Hamilton. His numbers at Augusta were eerily similar to Hamilton's at the same age.

From what I have read in various places, that is the comparison people use. A speedy CF who has a strong arm, can play the D, get on base, and steal bases? I'll take it!

2015 didn't end well for him, he got injured late in the season. Don't remember exactly what happened. But he seems to be healthy now.

* The Giants improved to 3-3 on their road trip.
* Fargas has five outfield assists in 10 games this season.
* Shaw extended his hitting streak to seven games - the longest by a Giants player this year.
* San Jose out-hit Lake Elsinore 12-8 on Tuesday. Eight Giants had at least one hit.

I don't think he will. His pitch count has been in the 70s-80s most games so far, so they are clearly taking it slow with him. I think the earliest we'll see him in SJ would be for the playoffs, if they make it. Coonrod was in a similar boat last year, and he stayed in Augusta until September. Granted, he was a reliever in college and getting his first crack at starting full-time, but Bickford hasn't exactly thrown that many innings himself before this year.

Until we start seeing Bickford pitching deeper into games, I think he's staying down.
