The decision to bench Hurts seems to have cost him the Philly locker room.

That may have played a role, but if reports are to be believed, the final straw was that Lurie wanted new coordinators and assistants, and Doug's plan was just to promote people who were already there, like promoting passing game coordinator Press Taylor to OC, even though the offense in particular struggled.

Just my opinion here. If Lurie falls in love with someone, it may come down to kicking Howie back to doing the books and that's it. That was the deal when Chip arrived. Any established HC will not come to the Eagles organization now with Howie making all the decisions.

As long as Roseman remains in the organization like he did with the Chip demotion then he can and will do what he can to undermine the new HC.


He just needs to be gone entirely from this organization.

I do think he can get another head coaching job, I'm sure there are front offices willing to give him a shot, now the players on that team, it won't be as easy. He will have to do something smooth talking. If I was him, I would take a year off, maybe take an analysis job for a year and do some player networking to try to smooth things out.
