Not odd at all. He was told from the top of the mountain that Nate the great would be playing. Doug didn't have a say in anything and there's a rumor floating out there Howie is the guy that sets the line up.

i guess thats my point. This wasnt an in game thing where there should be shock and awe like there is. we knew it was coming.....no outrage beforehand.....

He has his finger prints all over the organization. Word is he also had a hand in the Reagor pick. Makes a lot of sense since he has a relationship with Jeff and Howie plus someone in the scouting department came out and said these were not the guys that were on their draft board as their top picks.

Maybe the timing of Hurts benching was bad but the FO wanted that 6th pick. They made Doug look like a fool on Nat tv, thanked him for the 6th pick and then dumped him.

Let me ask you something, had Dallas won over NYG and he pulls the same stunt that he did, would you be angry with him? Or would you say that Dallas should have won more so it shouldn't have mattered?

He decided to lay down and insult the rest of the league. That alone is a firable offense.

Dallas was screwed this season the moment they lost Dak. There D was soft and really needed training camp under a new coach and certainly wasn't going to be able to carry Dalton or whoever else. I kinda wish we lost more to get a better pick really. I'm glad we didn't make the playoffs because we wouldn't have gone anywhere and would have had a worse draft position to boot.

Philly was even in a worse spot than us at the end of the season and had TONS of injuries all season. I don't know, maybe I missed something, what did he do? Is this about benching Hurts? If so, their season was already over.

Firing Pederson makes sense to me, but it would have made even more sense last week. I didn't see Pederson and Wentz working well in the future and Wentz will be hard to move without sweetening the deal. The new HC will be allowed to see if he can do something with Wentz in 2021 and change QBs in 2022 if he can't. If things don't work out with Wentz in 2021 the team can change GM after the 2021 season.

While Wentz's chances of staying have increased he is no lock. Lurie referred to Wentz several times in his press conference yesterday as an asset. He also kept talking about Howie rebuilding the team in 2016. Unless their new HC loves Wentz and is convinced they can fix him then I think they are still going to look to trade Wentz and possibly go QB in the first.


Lurie is in loveeeee with Roseman. Doug wanted some more control, the type of control most HC in this league have, and Roseman the snake he is didn't want to give up any of it and a power struggle started and Lurie sided with Roseman yet again.
