Makes sense. Pederson's Super Bowl victory was on the back of his great assistant coaches, not him. And Pederson also completely lost respect from his players.

It's ripping the Band-Aid off for sure, but this is the correct move by Philly.

We'll take him in Detroit! He really messed up in the Philly, but I think he will learn from those mistakes. I think he is still a very good coach.

If I'm reading the reports correctly, Lurie wanted qualified external candidates and Doug wanted to promote from within and was tired of people telling him what to do.

If that's the case, I'll drive him to the airport.

Maybe he wanted out and this was the way to do it?

Pederson wasn't the reason you guys won a Super Bowl (Reich was, along with others) and wasn't going to get the Eagles anywhere. It seems knee jerk, but it's 100% the correct move by the Eagles org. Roseman is an idiot as well, but I guess one step at a time? If the Eagles get a decent head coach and snag Schneider away from Seattle (who also needs to fire the entire coaching staff) yikes!
